Call it a day on their IC careers.

Ben was truly one of the greats.

Goodbye Ben, a bit odd after he was involved last weekend, fantastic during 04-06 and showed his class thorughout his career. Remeber him going down for a spot of water a few years back. There was around 5 minutes to go and he gets handed a shed load of Jelly Tots for a quick energy boost! Laugh

Sad news of Ben's retirement. He really was one of the modern day greats. True Thomond, he was great from 04-06 although I think his true class shone true in the years after that. When things were not going so well for Cork he was always a match winner. At times he was a 1 man band for the whole Cork forward line.

Ben and Jerry, couldn't think of one without thinking of the other. That was a great Cork team from 1999 through to 2004/06. Now they are nearly all retired. Jeeze, it's depressing.

He was indeed Red, he was still a top class performer until last season. Nobody could really replace, Lehane could be a better scorer than him, but he would find it incredbluy to replace Ben, he created chances too.
