Barnet have announced that Martin Allen has taken over as manager for the rest of the season . Allen replaces Lawrie Sanchez with immediate effect .

I always thought Martin Allen would end up a decent manager but it hasn't happened to him.

He has a bit of Ian Holloway about him. A madcap nutjob.

The thing about Martin Allen is that he knows how to get the best out his players especially in a run of short games. I'm sure some if not most bee's fans will be greatfull of Allen 3rd time round after it looked like they couldn't buy a win or score a goal they picked up a bucket full of points in the last 3/4 games and scored a fair few goals. I'm sure the sting of last season when Martin jumped to Notts hurts slightly less now.
Now what will be interesting to see is what happens next with Martin Allen & Barnet FC. He did sign on non-contract terms until the end of the season so let's see where they go from here. If he signs on again. I can see Barnet finishing in mid-table
