No, because then you'll lose the 'only' and 'winners' bit... and lose some meaning. It's all understood though, isn't it?

Yes we are still moving , not so much of a rush as my daughter has been accepted into the school we want anyway so we can look for a house we want rather then just in the area .

Out at the Dogs-Broncos game last night. Work going well... a few jobs. Got the go ahead for a big one on Wednesday.
Design for this place coming along too... will put it into council in about 4 weeks. Should I be cheeky and go for a 3rd floor roof terrace?

Yeah, I've done it for two jobs this week... similar projects. Do you think the neighbours will mind/care if it's not looking into their living rooms?

We had a ride out to Scarborough but i think everyone else in the area decided to go aswell as it was packed .

Yes, prepare beforehand!
Seriously though, I always put a layer of factor 30 on first (and sometimes even an undercoat of plain moisturiser) and try and avoid being out in the sun between 11am-2pm on those really hot days. Even though it mightn't feel bad at the time, when you get home the sunburn pain starts to come through. Is it like that or not as severe?

No, I managed to avoid it. It was quite a big thing here in the 70s. What about you?

I was sent home on the first day and asked not to come back , Mum was not amused .

I remember being envious of all their badges (for about an hour) when I'd go there to see my mates pack up after a day but I'd also consider myself lucky when I could hear them breaking bottles (for collection) on Sat morning... glad to have missed that, don't you agree?

I think the thing that made me so against it was the guy in charge who thought he was Grizzly Adams or something ....you know he could survive anywhere in any situation were as in real life he was probably a traffic warden or something .

I can't remember exactly , but i do recall they shared the hall with the brownies ( girls version ) and it had something to do with them i think

I don't like being told what to do , but i can take orders just not be spoken down to .

No you probably would have been singled out in the Army. I was in Air Force cadets and had enough problems there too with authority but do you think it was just 'the times'... a bit like all this bullying behaviour being exposed now?

I suppose in the Forces you need the discipline drove into you , but to have some weekend warrior bullying kids in the scouts wasn't for me .

Oh definitely. My old man used to see through it all with his Army experience. My older brother was in Scouts for a while but wanted out after a short spell. Do you think Dad objected?

No. He had no problem with him leaving. Thought it was BS anyway.
