The only competetion appears to be from the following who have formally expressed interest:

Turkey
ROI/Scotland/Wales
Azerbaijan/Georgia

I think we should give it a go. What's the worst that can happen?

I imagine it's a bit late to submit a bid?

According to Wikipedia:

On 21 March 2012, UEFA announced that the bidding process would be as set out below in the event that more than one expression of interest in bidding was received by UEFA before 15 May 2012.[2] Without a second bid, UEFA stated that the hosts would be confirmed on 15 May, subject to the confederation receiving the necessary guarantees. On 16 May 2012, UEFA announced that, because more than one national association had submitted their interest, it would begin its formal selection process and would allow any of the 53 national federations to bid, even if they chose not to declare an interest prior to the deadline. The timeline for the rest of the procedure will be announced by UEFA on 30 June.[3]

So if no interest was shown, you can still bid. The deadlines and such like will be announced on 30th June.

Fair enough, I would imagine they're not interested in submitting a bid if there has been no talk of them even thinking about it. I wouldn't mind having it in England. Of course I would prefer it to happen in Ireland though.

Why waste our time and money with those crooks? They have it in for us because we exposed their corrupt and anti british carry one.

Until their is full transperancy and a complete rehaul of FIFA and UEFA then there is no point.

I'd do it just so Scotland don't qualify for another tournament Laugh

We had it in 1996.

Not very long ago really. We have no chance, why waste the money?

FIFA are thinking about having multiple cities hosting the Euro 2020 tournament from different countries throughout Europe. I think it's quite a good idea actually and travelling cannot be seen as an issue after what the teams and fans have had to endure at Euro 2012

I think it's a poor idea. How would it work? You play your first group game in Moscow, your second in Rome, then off to Lisbon for the final group game, a quarter final at Wembley, then a Semi Final in Madrid before the final in Paris. Sounds terrible, keep the hosts to one or two nations.

Some one correct me if I am wrong but I can't recall Spain, who could be back to back champions ever having it. Isn't it about time they had it?
