Scottish Football overhaul

Seem's like all the summits we had to change Scottish football for the better were a waste of time. Anyone got any ideas what could be done? Here are mine.

-18 team top flight league
-24 team 2nd division like the chamionship this would ensure no teams under the current structure would need to be kicked out.
-Same playoff structure as the championship for promotion to the top flight. Meaning 3 teams go down from the top flight.
-Regional leagues bringing in junior clubs and highland league teams and having relegation from the bottom of the SFL.
-More done to get fans into stadiums. Cheaper tickets even giving away tickets to school kids.
-Set pricing for away fans no more Old firm fans getting charged £30 to go to Tannadice and the rest being charged £15-£20
-Merging of the SPL,SFL and SFA why do we need 3 orginisations we only have 42 top flight clubs?

Some pretty decent suggestions there mate. I just want the money to be fairly distributed. Ok, the Old Firm are the reason that the majority of the money comes in the SPL but why does that mean that the lower teams make no money?

I am for a bigger league, the reason is that there is less pressure on a team as they have less chance of relegation. They can therefore not have to go look for a tried and tested player and rather play some of the younger guys. Hopefully then giving us a few guys coming through for the future.

A fairer split of the money would be good but it happens all over the world more money the higher you finish we are just unlucky that the big 2 are always the top 2.
Playoffs would bring in a bit of extra cash.

Would you have play off for the 3rd european place? Always thought that would bring the crowds in!

Regional lower leagues would be good too, less money for the smaller clubs to spend from travelling to Timbuktu!

Playoff for the 2nd champions league spot and the europa league spot. 2nd-5th go in. The winner in the final go into the Champions League the loser the Europa League. In a one off game the teams finishing 3rd, 4th or 5th could beat the old firm. We need to sell the game anything that brings fans and cash in would be good.
Personally I would sell Hampden to property developers and take the National team on the road. Big games and qualifiers in Glasgow, friendlies in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Scotlands fan base is mainly from outside Glasgow give something back to them.

I've been a big supporter of an 18 team top league
team 1 - Champions
team 2,3,4,5 - CL Play Off
Team 17,18 - Automatic Relegation
Team 15,16 - Relegation Play Off

The problem with that is every club in Scotland wants 4 home games against the Old Firm and this league would only grant them two, also the Old Firm know they too would need to drop ticket prices because they would only have one home game against the other OF team and Hearts, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen, Hibs ect... instead of two

Gaffer that's the biggest problem everyone has their own agenda and nothing will ever change. The game up here is in bad shape and looks to be geting worse even the old firm have very little real quality anymore.
The Old Firm are the only thing stopping Scottish football becomig like Irish football.

Pretty sure they tried a Champions League playoff in holland and it failed!!!

They still do it, do they not?

They do it for two Europa League spots. 4th vs 7th and 5th vs 6th, the two winners make the Europa League as well as 3rd and the Cup winners.
