Bath Rugby - Contenders Once again.
That’s right, I believe Bath will be contenders for the JEFF this season, I've seen enough already to see that the new coaching setup has steadied the ship and have turned Bath into a formidable team once again.
Not being in the HC will do wonders for us this season and come the playoff final I expect Bath to be at Twickers.
Is this the new Golden ere for Bath?
IMO it could be.
C'mon the mighty Bath.

Where's this big signing? A competitive game has yet to have been played, what makes you so confident?

You only have to compare five mins from any game last season and compare it to a game this season.
Its a very clear difference, also the players seem more upbeat as they have a clear game plan, under SIM there wasn't one if playing heads up rugby didn't work.
As for the BIG signing, paper work takes time, but it's a biggy

HERSH - Defeating the mighty Ospreys in their fortress, and seeing as the Ospreys beat Leinster in Dublin (in the Rabo final), then that is unarguable proof that Bath are by rights the best team in the NH.

Makes sense Opera singers have long names, and if it tis the fat (Big) lady that would add up even more.

Yes, to point out facts is to be running scared.

Lets be honest, we just beat the current Rabo Champions at their fortress of a stadium with Vesty playing No10
Plus it wasn't even that difficult.
Bath are back, I know it, you know it.
Stop making silly excuses preseasons never lie, we all know that.

There is about as much chance of Bath winnining the Jeff as there is Glaws losing to Bath - simply never going to happen!

Perhaps we should just wait and see how many players we have left standing after playing the first 7 AP games on the trot....!
We then have just before Christmas, Quins, Leicester & Saracens. If we can come through that lot relatively unscathed....we might have a chance.....!

As an outsider I cant see Bath winning the Aviva.
It boils down to this. Not enough squad strength when you compare them to Northampton, Saracens & Leicester. Basically by the time the play offs come round your main 15 will run out of gas to challenge for the title. Plus other than that Louw your backrow sucks so you might struggle to get quick ball through the course of the season.
Throw in the fact Gloucester look resurgent, Harlequins are current champions, Wasps & Sale recruiting heavily and your chances look slimer by the day.

That's not a great run into the busy period. Sarries are always a tough and physical challenge, Tigers normally hit form around Christmas (though weren't quite there at that time last season) and Quins normally have a great first half. If Bath can do well out of those games and claim 8 points overall that would stand them in decent stead for the second half of the season.
