http://www.eastsideboxing.com/tyson-fury-to-face-former-champ-ruslan-chagaev-next-a-good-test-for-tyson/

according to online sources fury will be fighting former world champion ruslan chagaev in November. a great fight for young tyson and i don't think many people will criticize this fight. good to see a british lad stepping up and testing himself at fringe level.

i think fury is improving every time and has good power and better skills than he's given credit for. i see him stopping ruslan in the middles rounds, having been made to work for it early on. with adamek vs walker coming up soon i can see the winner of these 2 fights taking each other on.

hope david price reacts to this and makes a step up after the harrison fight.

anyone think fury will lose this one?

true. that said if he beats him then it puts him in a top contender spot. i wish him well, he has at least got the heart.

Pretty much anyone is a step up from maddalone and rogan

Chagaev should be tailor made for fury, short, slow with a lack of he's movement. He is very tough so a stoppage might not come as Chagaev took a lot of shots off Wlad before he got stopped

Chagaev was lacklustre vs adamek and looked poor on his return so Fury shouldnt lose. These are the people that fighters like fury etc need to be fighting and beating. Going from domestic to the K Bros is too big a step up so the middlemen like Chagaev, adamek, chambers, arreola etc are the ones that will help them progress

Chagaev is definitely on the slide but he probably has a bit of nous left in him. He's a tough old boy so I doubt Fury will finish him off, and may not even floor him.

Maybe the Fury camp are looking to get some decent rounds under his belt. It is a potential banana skin for Tyson; it'll be interesting to see whether he can up his game sufficiently. I see a UD in this fight. Can't see Chagaev shipping so much punishment that the ref steps in, and I also don't see Fury having the power to put him down.

Although it's true Chagaev is on the slide it will still be Furys biggest challenge on paper and should be on fight night too. Good challenge for him heading in the right direction.

Fair play to Fury for this, if the fight goes ahead and if he wins, he definitely gets credit. I would say Chagaev still has something to offer and is better than David Price.

For his 20th fight it'd be shameful for him to be fighting anything worse. It's the kind of fight he should be taking but all this 'fair play for the step-up stuff' simply papers over the fact that he should never be fighting the kind of bums he has been in his last 3-4.

This fight simply arrests the downward spiral in oppenents since Chisora.

And I don't think where Price is or who he is fighting is really relevant to this either. Price's record only lacks frequency, his oppenents are about right for a 12-13 fight boxer and are on a par with Fury at the same stage.

Turns out Tyson might be talking out his a'hole:

He's probably lining up a fight against that nurse that Cleverly fought.

Not really surprised if this doesn't come off. It seems the way with British boxers at the moment. Say you will be fighting a top flight opponent, say terms could not be agreed and end up fighting a nobody. We really need to see a step up in quality soon across the board
