Good to see Audley so light. If he doesn't freeze who knows?
Looking at Wilder I have a few question marks particularly associated with his deltoid development. You can tell a lot about a guys strength and development training 'approach' by looking at his lateral and rear deltoids.

I see cannon ball delts with big round rear delts and I know that type of deveopment is not prevalent amongst natural bodybuilders. I see a bodybuilder calling himself natural with delts like Wilder's and I call bullspit.

I am going to put it out there right now: Wilder is likely to be as chinny as Price. Audrey was never going to test that...

Re: Wilder
He impressed me the way he set it all up. Yes Audley went back in straight lines and left a huge gap to be exploited. But he looked good in terms of balance and movement. I criticised his footwork in the past but he seems to have corrected that. He didn't look ungainly.

There is no way Wilder is 6ft 7, he sounded like a decent bloke on the podcast but looked like a bit of a gimp at the weigh in, I hope Audrey KHTFO! And then I woke up next to susan boyle and lilly savage hanging out of my brown abyss

Re: Wilder
The amount of credit Audley got on here by so called boxing fans and experts for beating bums during prizefighter is pathetic.
You can talk about Audley being relaxed for this one as much as you like, but in short, the short time the fight lasted, Audley missed every opportunity to land the back hand. He failed to pull the trigger. He froze.
This win tells us nothing about Wilder.
Audley got KO'd (again) and Wilder showed good power (again) against decidedly average competition.
The same questions still remain....
What's Wilder's chin like?
How would a world class operator handle his power?
Can he pace himself and what's his stamina like?

I said from the start Harrison wouldn't see the end of the first round. Sad to say that I was right for once.

Re: Wilder
I'm annoyed since part of my bet was Harrison winning by DQ, and by the letter of the law that's what should have happened.
People know Audley is vulnerable early in a fight, none more so than the man himself. He took a knee and got clattered when he was down.
Minimum should have been a point off Wilder and Harrison given as long as he needed to recover. Who knows what might have happened?

Re: Wilder
Maybe so, but Wilder's best shot was very early.
He's a heavyweight Breidis Prescott IMO.
Harrison was hurt by the right, but more so by the naughty ones when he was down.

I didn't see anything illegal. When the last punch landed I think his his butt was 10inches from the canvas. And from what I saw Harrison didn't get hit while a knee or glove was in contact with the floor. Making the the whole thing perfectly legal. Maybe i missed something?

He got smacked more than once while being in the process of surrendering and then actually having done so. Minimum is five minutes to get straight, which I think he would have done.
Wilder didn;t.

Re: Wilder
Kind of surprised and not at that same time. It whats I suspected after the Price fight and also in the Haye fight, in that maybe Audley simply lost his punch resistance, and it very much showed again today. They were big shots but its like he looses his bearings straight away and cant even cover up properly. His recent love for the game has come too late at 41, too little too late Audley... Cant knock him for persistence though. But after being knocked out a few times he really needs to start thinking of his health, You cant keep taking punches from big guys like that. Hang up your gloves and become a promoter Audley because in that field you may well make it to be world class....

Wilder is not great technically. His finishing was reminiscent of a He Man action figure, complete with swivel waist!!

Saw this comment on Youtube and it made me laugh!:
I have no doubt that Audley has the tools to be a good fighter. The problem is that the tools remain in a shed. The shed is locked and Audley doesn't have the key. Also, the shed was broken into and emptied a long time ago. And the shed is located in another continent from Audley. Also, the shed is a metaphor. Audley's career is basically a long-filed police report about some stolen tools that never existed.

Re: Wilder
Wilder fought like he'd had a few beers before the fight
Those swings were wild to say the least, was thinking he's def gonna KO someone in a sec, either Audley (who was already done by then) himself, or the ref!
Def needs to work on his technique a bit!

Re: Wilder
audley was terrified when those punches started landing, he didn't take a knee he cowered in a corner. lucky for him wilder missed all but 2 of his follow up punches. he got up at 9 knowing it would be stopped.
he had yet again managed to convince people he "gave it a go" whilst doing absolutly nothing, he looked like he was screaming when the first punch was thrown, his mouth was wide open.
