Cheers, Paul, was looking for this fight all day. Ryan is a local lad and was a real top amateur. World Youth Silver medallist, supposedly was robbed in the final by the Azeri in the final. Won the Gold at the Youth Olympics beating the same fighter. The Azeri is the reigning European Champion so that shows the calibre of an amateur he was. Ireland are pretty strong at light fly and Flyweight so he didnt stay amateur.

He's had a a lot of bad luck, his debut was delayed due to brain scan issues, but it looks like he will be a strong addition to the Bantamweight scene over here.

The 'opponent' looked like he had never sparred or even trained in a boxing gym prior to this fight, looked terrified and stop throwing anything halfway through the 1st round.
