First topic message reminder :

Hi all,

I, like many others i'm sure are excited about the release of GTAV on the 17th September 2013. I am extremely excited about this and today there was a gameplay trailer released and i have to say, like the other trailers so far it looks absolutely amazing. I think this game is going to be one of the best of all time. It is releasing for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on release.

Here is todays gameplay trailer if you wish to check it out.

Apparently, Sony have made a mistake, and some people have downloaded the game from PSN already. It's currently unplayable, but some hackers are trying to do what they can to get it running.

I do believe that is the official map.  The city seems quite small but I think we knew that already.  The amount of land outside of the city looks massive and when you take into account all the underwater area to explore as well its pretty big overall.

I'm hoping against hope that Fernando Martinez features in this game, best character of the series imo.

The map did look smaller than I thought but that might be because the freeways are not to scale.

I went to Corfu on holidays and driving around it it seemed to be way bigger than I thought it would. That was mainly because its very mountainous. All the roads are winding and twisting and it takes a while to get from A to B. Red dead redemptions map was a bit like that. It was very big but felt bigger than it actually was.

The good thing is GTA V's map is full of hills and mountains so it should feel big. Its great to see countryside in the game.

Ordered from there too.

But you won't get it early as Rockstar have told retailers that the game should arrive on the 17th not 16th!

Judging by videos on Youtube, quite a few people have already got this. And there's already torrent versions out.

Hmmm, my plan of wondering into the local Asda sometime on Tuesday to get it seems pre-historic, not to mention hopeful!

First impressions: Very good. I was sceptical about the switching between 3 characters but so far it works very well although early days on that one as I've only done the first mission with Trevor.

Movement with the characters and in the vehicles feels much more cripser than we are used to with GTA and backgrounds are a lot smoother. It feels that the game has been modernised somewhat. Gun action is similar to MAx Payne 3 for anyone who has played that and you can also stumble across 'events' as you go along - similar to RDR.

I also had a wee round of golf. Nice addition if a little simple but thtat isn't why I bought the game.

Completely open although you won't 'discover' it all until you journey round it. Kinda like Age of Empires if you have ever played it (not a great comparison I know but it's the best I can do).

Played the first couple of missions and loving it! Graphically it's superb, certainly the best version of GTA from that point of view, it has the gameplay to match as well.

What a game this is. Feels more original than previous GTAs, a lot fresher. In terms of the city, I cannot fathom how you go from one end to the other without a single loading break, it must push the processor to the very limit.

Whilst it's also a lot fresher, I love how it makes references to GTA's past. Franklin is a lot like CJ, and Michael (possibly the greatest GTA character ever) is exactly how I would imagine Tommy Vercetti in a post Vice City game. There are also a couple of nods to GTA IV.

The humour is brilliant and modern.
The cutscenes and the voice acting are stupendous.

Once again, GTA takes the bar and raises it higher. The series as a whole probably rivals the Beatles as the greatest British export to the world, ever.

Just wow. And I've only played it for a couple of hours!

I can't get over how awesome this game is. The story is so bloody engaging which I always think makes a game. GTA 4 and Niko, I never really bought into. But this, just like RDR and John Marsten, is fantastic which both Michael and Trevor interesting in their own ways. It wouldn't surprise me if there was talk of a GTA film at some point (maybe there already has been?)
