Ajit Agarkar Retires
India's best under-performing allrounder ever.
Now that he has hung his boots...he can fondly remember he has a hundred with the bat at Lords and a 6-fer at Adelaide to humble Aus in one of their rare home series draws at the Peak of waugh era.
and that on his day he could bowl at 150kph inspite of his 5'7" frame and 55 kilo frame.....and smack 24 runs in an ODI over with the bat.
he was expected to be India's next Kapil dev in times soon after his retirement.....when India was desperately hoping for a Kapil replacement....and that is where I think he could not handle the exepctation.
Azhar handled him well....Ganguly expected a lot from Aggu and I guess pushed him harder than Aggu could handle.
Mentally he lacked the focus and consistency......but thanks for the moments of joy annd success he brought us.
Best of Luck in life beyond.
