Rogers began his career with Tranmere Rovers before moving to Nottingham Forest in 1997, spending several seasons there before leaving for Leicester City. Rogers scored twice for Leicester, with both goals coming in a League Cup tie against Hull City in September 2002.[1] He returned to Forest in 2004, but after a dispute with manager Gary Megson he went on loan to Hull.[2]

After a spell with Bradford City, he joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on 3 January 2007. He was sent off on his Accrington debut after a dangerous tackle on Notts County's David Pipe.[3] Rogers left Accrington at the end of the season, having appeared six times.

Questions for Alan

You had a superb 4 years with Nottingham Forest from 1997 to 2001, you then returned for a 2nd spell in 2004. Is there a lot of pressure when you make a return 2nd time round as fans are expecting you to continue as the player you were?

You left Nottingham Forest for rivals Leicester City back in 2001, did they hold any grudges? Or did there fans accept it and move on.
