Your Hi-Techs started to squeek?

Probably but I was too hungry to notice.  Almost broke into a run as I approached the Wrap-It-Up.

Have you ever been to Tamada by the way?  Georgian restaurant off Abbey Road.  Went there for my birthday and found no reason to complain.

I'm not really a London person. Occasionally Putney or Clapham to see mates or Lords for the cricket.

If Georgian food is anything like Estonian fayre I may give it a miss.

I reversed over a dying squirrel early last year. the crunch still haunts me.

That's a very disturbing post. The fact that you knew it was dying suggests that you knew it was there when you reversed over it.

well she doesn't want kids which are stupid, (sometimes) ugly and smelly. I guess it is a decent trade off.

At least after a few years you don't have to pick up their sh*t.

You do though have to pick your teeth up when they beat the snot out of you.

Who won the points in Round 6? We've had to wait a ridiculous length of time to find out.

It had been knocked down by a car in front presumably. Was writhing around on the road as I drove past. Had to do the 'humane' thing.

If you'd bothered to read round 7 you would know. Seeing as you can't, and I am a nice guy, here is your answer.

Hero (Sitting on the Dock of the Bay): (10) 56
compelling & rich (Don't Look Back in Anger): (10) 52
seanmichaels (The Tracks of my Tears): (7) 45
Adam (A Whiter Shade of Pale): (7) 44
Galted (Love will Tear us Apart): (12) 42
Azzy (Sweet Child of Mine): (7) 40
TopHat (Everything I do): (7) 40
The Womble (There is a light that never goes out): (6) 37
onlytreblewinners (Everytime we Touch): (4) 36
Rowley (I Am the Resurrection): (7) 36
superflyweight (Sympathy for the Devil): (7) 36
bhb (Like a Rolling Stone): (10) 35
Dolphin (You and Me song): (5) 31
The Boss (Ain't no Mountain High Enough): (4) 30
Julius (Bridge over Troubled Water): (8) 30
ChequeredJersey (Hit the Road, Jack): (3) 27
Union (Field of Dreams): (7) 26
jbeadlesbigrighthand: (0) 23

So our strange little friend Galted actually won (points in brackets).

Seems like a long time ago.

I'm quite touched by that. Though, on second thoughts, if it was a grey squirrel you should have kicked it about a bit first.

Are you telling me that there's no medical help out there for squirrels? If Vets will treat badgers and hedgehogs surely they can extend their services to squirrels? Is it a form of animal apartheid?

Sent it in yesterday, job only opened on the 7th and closed on the 9th. Not going to get it but the missus surpised me last night with a compliment. Said my cover letter was a work of literary art.

Believe it or not I'm not one to blow my own trumpet. Neither am I very enthusiastic or excitable about things in real life - especially at work. Sort of figured the only way to progress your career is to be a bit of a bell end like that which I'm unprepared to do currently. This job is in sport though so I have made an allowance and used words like passion etc.

Suspect she just means you had made a load of sh!t up on it.

Lets hope her taste in cover letters is better than her taste in sensible, practical coats.

What is the job then?  We might be able to help you.

Jeff used to work for the government before he sold out. Surely he can give you some advice.

if he sold out, the advice would probably be:- "Dont work for the government, you should definately sell out instead"

Listen Rick, I am trying to help Sean out here.

Can you just stop trying to derail it and stick to making exceptionally funny comments about exposed knackers.

At risk of making an actual point...

I have contracted for the "Man" before, and they love their values in the interviews, that and 'Commitment'

that may or may not be useful, but at least I tried

It's making an absolutely massive assumption that they don't see through Sean's lies and grant him an interview, but its a solid effort so well done.

I'd feel a deep sense of pride if the 606v2 community rallied together and helped get Seany a new job.

They may be entranced in wonderment at the eloquence and enchanting prose of the cover letter, and not actually get around to interview...

I worked as a driver's mate in Birmingham for the NHS for a couple of days if it's any help.

I volunteered at a polling station once. Well, I didn't really volunteer, I was quite young and my parents took me along when they were volunteering. Same principle though.

Yeah I remember it being long. I went after school and then had to go home with my elder brother when it got too late.

How come you got paid to do that? I thought you just paved the way for illegal immigrants to enter the country? What has that got to do with polling?
