I think it is a grey ground Julius rather than black and white, so we may agree to disagree on this one Smile

You could be right. If only you'd stuck to sonoluminescence, it definitely would have merited a round of applause. As it is, I'm not sure my conscient will allow it.

There is nothing camp about m*n-bags and Radox baths.

Just confident and comfortable in my sexuality. Rarely feel a need to overtly assert my heterosexuality to a bunch of strangers online I will almost certainly never meet. Obviously I am not suggesting for a minute someone who felt the need to do that would be repressing or seeking to hide something, perish the thought.

The thread is split again.

Jeff's Spice Girls fact has been replaced with rick's big word and some rapier wit from Julius.

Unfortunately for Julius it now looks like a spelling mistake.

Did Rowley contribute more than usual over the previous 20 pages to get his fact replaced?  If so, perhaps I don't give Men of the North enough credit for deviousness.

Absolutely not, because whilst World Cupgate has rocked me to my very foundation I remain reasonably confident my Spice Girls zinger was vaguely correct.

I'm tempted to edit it, but that would indicate that it mattered to either rick and/or myself.

The reality is that rick will doubtless produce another impressive word in the next hour or two, and another example of my rapier wit should appear before the end of the year.

It's no cold, Tino, it is an exceptionally vicious sore throat that I have braved since the early hours of Monday morning.  I thought that it had weakened its grip yesterday evening so I decided to kill it off with seven cans of Bud, five bags of crisps and a vegetable samosa but, in my drunken state, I forgot to close the window before going to sleep and now find myself at death's door.

You don't eat enough greenery. Good effort on the buds though. In my current financial predicament I am on 2.5 litre bottles of Barnstormer for £2.69.

Bud is foul. Like almost all American lagers with the exception of Sam Adams.

You could have doubled up and necked 14 bottles of Miller Lite.

Best lager is a Belgian one called Efes
A close second would be a Polish lager called Zubr or the German lager Warsteiner

Bud just gets a bad press because it's American, it is a fine lager. Normally have a few Zywiec as well but have been off the p1ss for a while and wasn't certain what effect it would have.

I had some Russian lager in a massive bottle t'other day. I bought some in Tesco. I can't remember the name but it was how I imagine pouring hydrochloric acid down your neck must feel like.

The 2nd and 3rd bottles were alright as I had no skin left on the inside of my throat.

Every Tom, Jack or Walt
Will like the taste of malt
They'll love the malt
In a Colt 45.

Don't tend to drink lager as a habit as I am a Guinness man, but if I have to it tends to be Heineken. Got to be honest it all tastes pretty similar to me.

Tyskie, Zywiec and Lech Sport are all agreeable and I concur with Dave on Zubr - incidentally all 500ml cans. I think the 440ml can conspiracy is not to be sniffed at. You only get 440ml cans at supermarkets and my ex-alcoholi friend swore blindly that you couldn't get proper Stella from a supermarket.

I don't drink beer at all. There, I've said it.

Never expected anything else Jules, as a tennis fan champagne is pretty much de rigueur.

Yes my error. I meant ex-friend who is an alcoholic. Didn't fall out he just moved to America.

Ponce.

I was speaking to a tennis fan, about tennis (vaguely). When in Rome and all that.
