Right I'll make my pick in around 20/30 minutes unless someone wants to trade.

I'd love to have been able to move down, but alas no-one took the bait. They'd probably look to pick up another pick or two later on in this draft and next years. There are quite a number of different ways to go here, they might go tackle, receiver and they could maybe go for Clowney.

There are a number of high quality receivers and at least one of them should fall to 13, whilst a tackle can be picked up later on in the draft. Clowney might be the best player in the draft, and whilst there are concerns about his energy and effort he could really help them in their division. Quinn and Long are two fantastic ends, adding Clowney into the mix will give him a bit of time to develop and give the Rams someone to replace Long when he goes.

Ah that is a shame, I would've waited longer but didn't want to hold everything up.

Only just caught now. I may have been up for trading with Rams for Jadeveon Clowney. Would have been the perfect replacement for Jared Allen for Vikings.

Really wanted to go QB, but with Teddy and Johnny already gone, i reckon it would of been too much of a reach, although I was tempted. I like the idea of Watkins and Gordon tearing up the AFC North (once I get a QB of course!).

Need a franchise QB, this young man could just be it.

I just couldn't do it, I couldn't take Bortles after criticising. Plus if we whiff on another QB and 1st round pick we're in big trouble all over again.

That would be a risky moved for the Browns in my opinion. I am not taken with Bortles and feel there are better options available in the later rounds. Great deal for the Raiders though.

With the 8th pick the Minnesota Vikings draft:-

They need to strengthen their secondary, especially in their division. Clinton-Dix would make a good safety pair with Harrison Smith who could play at strong safety.

Didn't fancy any QBs here after Manziel and Bridgewater had gone. Would have thought about trading up if Clowney had fallen a bit more. May have been interested in Mack, looked at Barr, Jernigan and Donald were possibles.

With the 9th pick the Buffalo Bills draft:-

Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M, 6'5", 305lbs

Easy choice. The Bills need a right tackle. Jake Matthews can play right tackle and is one of the best talents in the draft. Considered CJ Mosley at ILB if they move Kiko Alonso to weakside linebacker.

With the 12th pick, the New York Giants select:-

Eric Ebron, TE, UNC

John Mara has said it - the Giants "broken" offense will not be as bad next season as it was this season. Their O-Line was horrible last year but it's interior linemen they need so there's no point in forcing an O-Line pick here even though there are good ones available. I think they'll look to free agency to largely address their O-Line needs and I think they're happy enough with their Tackles. TE has been a revolving door for the Giants for years now and it's just too important a position in the NFL for that to carry on. Eli needs linemen but he also needs weapons. Eli is happy that the Giants draft Ebron and look to established interior linemen in FA to protect him.

If anyone wants to trade up they have an hour or two, before I pick.

Rams take Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State

It's unclear how much longer Cortland Finnegan is going to be a Ram. He might get one more season, so they'll need someone to pair with Jenkins. I'd have gone Evans here if he was still there, but I'm not sure about the other receivers. I think they might look to free agency or the later rounds for a receiver. Gilbert should improve their secondary and give their impressive front seven more of a chance to wreak havoc.

Is it maybe worth putting a 24 hour time limit on each pick?

I agree. Not everyone here watches college football diligently (I certainly don't) but NFL.com has like 15 mock drafts up already on its own, plus top 5s at positions and some top 50 lists. And that's one website.

If you're going to take part then it's kinda fair to everyone else to not take a potential UDFA just because you heard of him for coming out.
