HAIM need to be on there. They're good and I'd also bone each one of them although I had to make a decision on the lead singer as I wouldn't want a family fall out.

Willie Nelson. Country music is bit under represented on that list.

Not massively in to the bottom 4 but would have thought them worthy.
Reminds me, Underworld and Leftfield.

Think you need to specify or narrow the parameters, comparing hip hop to rock or pop is pretty much impossible. Also if this is going to be everything certain genres such as folk, country or jazz are woefully under represented. The likes of Miles Davis and Willie Nelson deserve to be on if everything is permitted.

Sorry Tina, am already in a bad mood and am being pre-emptively grumpy about this quiz as the Beatles will almost certainly win and for reasons I don't fully comprehend they have always left me a little underwhelmed.

Re: The Music World Cup/GOAT
I've updated it with a lot of the choices included thanks.
Rowley I agree with you that it's nigh on impossible to compare certain musical genres but it's the same with any of these GOATs as it was with the Sporting GOAT and it was nailed on from the start that it was going to be a certain 3 or 4 that made it to the semis from the beginning. I think though for most people that it's the journey of the competition rather than the destination which is the enjoyable part.

MONO should be in there. If we can't celebrate Japan's finest instrumental prog rock 4 piece then how we can celebrate at all?

There seems to be a lack of modern male solo artists?
Justin Trousersnake*
Bruno Mars*
Will Young*
Robbie Williams*
Those sorts of chaps?
*Disclaimer: I don't like this stuff but in the interests of getting a broad scope of music then some should appear?

Bit disappointed by the lack of late sixties obscure pshychedelia myself Super. The absence of Oliver Klaus and Dantalian's Chariot is suggestive of an agenda to me.
