I am probably going to regret this but yes, Julius, yes I do. What have you got in store?
I'm playing in a tennis match this evening.
Congratulations.

You don't need £200m, me and Galted are putting £100 in between us. Please pay attention.
You're trying to goad me into wasting my 10,000th post on soccerball. Something you well know that I have no interest in.
You won't fool me, Jeffrey. I won't upstage Gandalf either. That would be cruel.

All about you now, Jeff. 15,000 big ones coming up. Julius and I have done you a favour by getting our milestones over and done with today.
The Culture Cup is all yours tomorrow.
If you have any sense of fair play and decency, your 15,000th post will be directed to me and/or Julius.
But you haven't. So it won't be.

It should be about me sticking a beer can up a chickens arris and roasting it.... For those who do care I've opted for pint can of Fosters as the chicken is organic and I guess they have larger 'movements'. I will take a photo.

I don't understand, is the can empty or full, what does this achieve?

3 and a bottle of white.
You open the can, drink just under a half of it, stick it up the chickens jacksie and roast it stood up. Supposed to keep it moist anf flavour the meat.

You can also use an open can of baked beans (remove the label) instead of the beer. The chicken juices will run into and flavor the baked beans, which you can then use as a side dish for the chicken.

It could become the English answer to Coq Au Vin.
Waiter, I'd like to try the Chicken with a Can of Lager up its 'Arris a la Michaels and, from the beer list, I'll take 14 cans of your second cheapest beer.

Common mistake.
Never go for the second cheapest on the wine (beer) list as it's almost always the worst value for money. You're better off going for the house red or white as they will choose a good one as it's representative of the restaurant. Most people go for the house wine so the establishment have get it right.
The second biggest percentage of people go for the second cheapest as they don't want to appear tight even though they usually are. The restaurants all know this so put a poorer (cheap) wine as the second cheapest as they get a better return.
Either spend the extra money and get a better bottle or go for the house wine and don't be embarrassed by asking for it.
Of course, if you're not bothered by wine or don't have a palate for it, it will all taste sh*t and make no difference.
You can take this lesson as a gift from me to you.

It's a huge moment for the Culture Cup.
Will he choose to post here or go back to his spiritual home on the boxing board and post something about an obscure Hungarian Flyweight from the 1920's.
Exciting time for us all...

Re: The Culture Cup Round 6 - new but not really improved
I shall be going to Bandol for a week or so in July. They have these places called Caveau where the vineyards sell their wine in boxes (3l or 5l) or crates of 6 bottles. As an alternative, and what the Racists do, you can take a jerry can or 4 gallon water bottle and fill it up from a tap in the wall. The wine is as good as anything you'll get in a supermarket over here and about 10 euros for 4 gallons.

I play them at their own game and always ask for the second most expensive wine.
