Best centre midfield player in the world?

Currently there's a debate going on the Aaron Ramsey thread as how good he is, and that yes he's had an excellent season and no one can deny his impact when fit and his goals ratio is second to none, but does that equal him being the current best midfielder in the world?

So here's a list of current centre midfielders, yes some play deeper than others, and depending upon team styles their roles then stats can be deceiving, but try and see the bigger picture and vote for your FIVE top midfielders from the list.

I voted for Yaya, Pirlo, Iniesta, Kroos and Modric.

Yaya's a powerhouse, and is the best box to box midfielder in the world in my opinion. Went for Pirlo because of his ability to control a game from deep. Iniesta's pretty self-explanatory, for all he's done over the last six years. I prefer Xavi at his peak, but his performances have dropped off this season.

Kroos is the best player I've seen in the flesh this season, and I think Modric has been Real's second best player this season.

In my opinion Ramsey's the best British centre midfielder, and has the potential to be one of the world's best in his position. another two to three season's like last one then he'll seriously be spoken about as one of the elite players in his position.

Ramires is currently a better midfielder than Lampard I'd have said. Also, Joe Allan? really?

iniesta has been easily the best all round midfielder for a while now, yaya has more of the odd lazy game but is a massive "big game player" but really doesn't commit much to the defensive side. hence his form massively improving this season with the addition of fernandinho to do that work for him.

yaya had the better season this season, but iniesta has been the better player over a longer period of time

I went Iniesta, Yaya, Modric, Vidal and Kroos, all five of those are at the top so guess I go with the popular vote.
