Cheers, JimBob.
I have no wish to be vindictive towards Davies but he's rather brought the loss of his place in the t20 team upon himself.

Perhaps, but he did score a hundred in the CC this week. What's KP done to deserve to keep his place - another 1 run from him today. Anyone know how much he's being paid for this?

Dave - you certainly make a vaild point. It would be an incredibly bold move to drop Pietersen but it shouldn't be ruled out if he continues to misfire. That said, one knock of Pietersen brilliance in the near future and we'll be singing a different tune. I'm sure the marketing guys at the Oval will be as desperate for him to succeed as anyone!
Good win tonight. I liked our using only 5 bowlers. Too often imo fielding captains try to mix things up too much and end up unsettling their own team and their bowlers more than the opposing batsmen. Curran taking the honours with most wickets and least runs conceded but all bowlers playing their part. On the batting front, particular credit to Amla for holding a lot of it together and O'Brien for providing valuable late acceleration.

Re: Surrey vs Glamorgan Dragons T20 Blast
A very professional all round performance from Surrey with contributions from a number of players. Better use of the bowlers by Wilson too after his rather muddled thinking last Friday.
Especially good to see O'Brien make a useful score, probably a crucial knock. Coincidence that it came in a week where he played two matches for the second eleven to try to find his touch ? I've banged on about this before but I believe he and KP need to keep their eyes in by playing some sort of other cricket even if only now and then. I suppose KP does at least have the 'seniors' match at Lords in a couple of weeks so maybe can find his touch there. As it stands he is only being selected on reputation and, after his ton at Derby, Davies deserved to have played instead of him tonight.
Curran continues to show the folly of having him as twelfth man for the Essex game. I fancy we may have won that one too if he'd been selected.
A pity Essex and Hants squeaked home but they are almost certain to be two of the qualifiers anyway. Surrey looking good to join them at the moment but still a long way to go.

Curran continues to impress - and I agree with Beehive's comment above about the Essex game.
Interesting that the emphasis with Ansari really does seem to have switched to the cc. Previously he was very prominent in T20 but now while still playing in that competition he seems to be bowling less and also batting right down the order.
