Surrey vs Kent Spitfires Royal London Cup
Surrey have named a twelve man squad for their Royal London One-Day Cup game against the Kent Spitfires at the Kia Oval on Tuesday.
Chris Tremlett is included in a 50 over squad for the first time this season but Jason Roy is unavailable after being selected for the England Lions for their Triangular series against New Zealand A and Sri Lanka A. Jade Dernbach and Matthew Dunn have not been considered for selection as they are not 100% fit.
There is no place in the squad for george edwards after two poor bowling perfomances on the bounce.

Kent 314/8 from their 50 overs. Billings 87, Cowdrey 75 and Northeast 63 with the big innings. Tremlett they only bowler with figures to speak about, 10-0-38-4. Meaker going for 83 runs from his 10 with just 1 wicket.
Surrey 143/2
Davies out for a brisk 58 and Solanki now unbeaten on 72 from 78 balls.

A tie. Ansari did well to get us back into the game when it looked gone - but a pity that Batty couldn't score the single needed to win off the last two balls.

What a finish that was!
Feels a game we should have won with 1 needed off the last two but a great close to a match nonetheless.
I must say I'm finding it much easier to get 'into' the 50 over games than I ever did the 40 over stuff!

Mate of mine from Uni who knows Ansari from school really rates Zafar. Says he's quality, great cricketing brain. Whereas another guy who played against Billings says he'd decididly average and can't believe he's fashioning out a county career! He'll have a bloody good one though if he keeps batting like he did today and against Somerset last week!
