17 picks scored finish points for good and bad reasons.  Hibbz had six of his seven score points but, despite the quantity, the quality wasn't there.  Both McLaren and Incontinentia had five picks score but a lack of quality hampered Mac and Inco ultimately strolled away with the win as his picks finished with the joint highest score.  LadyPutt and RedRage tied Inco's finish score but really trod water.  Kouchi also had four picks but couldn't keep up. BlueCoverman, Kwini, and SirBenson also had four picks score points.  Barragan, Boyhyde, Davie, I'mNeverWrong, and SetupDetermines all had three picks of mediocre quality score points.  1GrumpyGolfer, Beninho, EmmDee57, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and Sand all had two picks of varying quality score points.  CJB and Super_Realist each had a pick score points; TheCleaver failed to have a pick score points but still had enough to stay off of the bottom of the leaderboard.

Blayne Barber shot 65 which was the lowest score in the final round and also the low round of the week; Mac earned points from this.  Andrew Svoboda shot 81 in the final round tying for the worst round of the week; Setup earned points here.  Jhonattan Vegas finished dead last; Davie, Hibbz, Mac, and Red earned points from this finish.

The final event of the West Coast swing sees the Pros tee it up sans distractions at Riviera Country Club just outside of Los Angeles.  This is an old school venue with some quirky features like the par 3 6th hole with it's donut shaped green with a bunker as the filling.  The short par 4 10th hole is renowned as one of the most challenging yet drivable par 4s around.  This is also the cut off for qualification into the first WGC of 2015; the top 50 in the OWGR will qualify automatically.

Bubba Watson is the highest ranked player and the defending champion after shooting 64-64 over the weekend to win.  He's joined by former champions John Merrick, Bill Haas, Aaron Baddeley, Charles Howell-III, Rory Sabbatini, Mike Weir, Robert Allenby, Ernie Els, and Fred Couples.  Recent winners in Steve Stricker and Phil Mickelson are missing.  Mickelson was the last to successfully defend the title before that it was Mike Weir.  Couples is extending his record by playing for the 33rd time at Riviera.

78 players are providing value to the OWGR points on offer for this event, for more detail see the OWGR threads that GPB, Robopz, et al contribute to.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie,
those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligble for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament. However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Brian Davis has withdrawn after a 79. Super's copy of the Sporting Life must have been missing that page. Davie, LadyPutt, and EmmDee57 also affected.

Good to see Kouchi showing some bouncebackability after last weeks shocker. He's got two of the six currently tied for the lead at -5.

Inco's off to a flyer! He has three of them. Full updates to come in the morning / lunchtime.

Darkness prevented three players from finishing their round but seeing as they are on their last hole they are unlikely to impact the scoring unless they pull a Scott Piercy like meltdown.  It was a day for the old timers and Incontinentia packed his picks with  them and they paid him back.  Inco's picks of Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh, along with Daniel Summerhays, shot 66 to tie for low round of the day with three other players.  Nick Watney was the other pick to shoot 66 and he was picked by nine Fantasy Leaguers including Kouchi.  Kouchi also picked Goosen and with tremendous bouncebackability he's in second place behind Inco.

Brian Davis decided he had had enough and withdrew after a 79 (Davie, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, and Super_Realist are all affected by this) but it wasn't even the worst round.  Scott Piercy and Brendon de Jonge both shot 80 but no one picked them so it doesn't really matter.  Kevin Chappell also shot 80 and BlueCoverman will be rueing benching Watney for Chappell.  He gets some bonus points but it's a small consolation.

Scoring seems pretty tough out there as just 32 players are under par.  The cut line could be around even or +1 so plenty of our picks need to improve if they are to stick around for the weekend.

Darkness forces a suspension of play for the second day running. This time just one player is left to finish; Alex Prugh needs to putt out on the 9th green. Barring a many putt he'll be safely through to the final rounds. Full updates to come in the morning.

Kouchi must have been lulling us into a false sense of security last time out. After having two of the low round scorers in round one he's managed the full set through to the weekend. He's overtaken Incontinentia as leader. Inco lost two picks but stays in the top 3 sharing second place with RedRage who also has the full complement for the weekend. Beninho and Pedro came the closest to matching Kouchi and Red; they both lost one pick. Pedro's was Bill Haas, one of two Cat A picks that didn't make it through the cut, and Ben's was John Peterson. Both missed the cut by some margin. Only four Fantasy Leaguers missed out on cut bonuses: CJB, Sand, TheCleaver, and Super_Realist. Super might need to get his eyes tested; his copy of the Sporting Life must have been well out of date!

The low round score was shared by two picks: Graham DeLaet and Hunter Mahan. DeLaet was picked by Beninho, Davie, and Hibbz while Mahan earned points for LadyPutt and SirBenson. David Lingmerth had an 81 for the worst round of the day but no one picked him so it doesn't really matter.

Round 3 should get underway about 40 minutes or so after Alex Prugh finishes his last hole. With 44 players, including Prugh, through to the weekend there's a high probability that it will be a high points scoring round for Fantasy Leaguers.

Barring a 5 or 6 putt by Prugh these scores are valid with Kouchi and Red having the full set.

Wow, called that one.  Fourteen players shot 69 or lower and Ten of them were picks so a shed load of points were handed out. Incontinentia is not taking this laying down as five of his seven picks scored points and he's tied Kouchi who had just the three picks score points.  RedRage is hanging on as he had picks score points for good and bad play.  Sand had four of his five picks score points, BlueCoverman had three picks score points including one of the low round scorers, Boyhyde and I'mNeverWrong also had three picks score points while McLaren had three picks score points for good reasons and one for not so good.  Five other Fantasy Leaguers had two picks score points, eight had one pick score points.  Two others earned points for poor play from Jhonattan Vegas.  One Fantasy Leaguer didn't score points; second to last might be a stretch this time around.

Sang-Mon Bae and Morgan Hoffmann shot 66 for the low round of the day; BlueCoverman and SetupDetermines picked Bae.  Jhonattan Vegas shot 81 for the worst round.

Thanks Grumps for putting together a great event. OK

It's great to get a win this early in the season. I'm very excited that the process of reps has paid off coming up to the Masters. Bubbly

I'm not happy with the result here, I think I deserved more, and it feels like a campaign. There are four key moments where you can write the story. I can't go through the incidents.

Ray, it sounds like you need to hijack inside the PGA tour or some weekly roundup programme, though try not to come across as a bitter moron, with no personality.
