2015 World Championships - Discussion Thread
First topic message reminder :
So another world championship at The Crucible is upon us. Who will emerge victorious and be crowned the world champion? For me a lot depends on the early rounds. Players who will get better as the tournament goes on I feel will be the likes of Neil Robertson, Mark Selby and John Higgins so them avoiding an early exit will put them right in contention. Obviously, Ronnie O'Sullivan will be one of the favourites and his chances will hinge on avoiding top notch match play players ie Mark Selby and John Higgins in the latter stages. Ronnie is at his best in matches against expansive shot players who play an open game and whose misses leave chances. This year it is wide open I think so here is hoping we have a great fortnight of snooker. Enjoy and start discussing here when the matches get under way........

And Bingham's safety could win him this frame.

And after almost an hour it is Stuart Bingham who wins an incredible frame to edge back ahead 16-15. What a frame.

Shaun made far too many misses when he was snookered, this frame has changed hands so many times.

Murphy maybe making a mistake by trying to mix it in the safety with Bingham. Last few frames he has erred on the side of caution and Bingham is bossing the safety battles.

Ooooh a break of 55 from Bingham but he breaks down. Murphy with a chance but he misses a long red. He looks to be toiling now.

Ooooh Murphy takes on a very risky pot and misses. Frame at Bingham's mercy but misses the opportunity but hot favourite for the frame.

And Bingham surely clinches this frame and move to 17-15. One frame away from his lifelong dream.

Wow what else can happen? Murphy flukes a red after looking odds on to have left Bingham a great chance and he escapes back to baulk with a safety shot.

Chance for Bingham. Murphy clutching at chances that aren't really there. He looks like a desperate man.

Really very very happy for BIG Stuart. I just saw the result a couple secs ago, because I stopped watching the final after Stuart potted the white at the score 15:15, after the white bounced from red and ended in the corner. Well deserved win, great man with strong nerves with real snooker thinking, just cool BIG Stuart done it.
Judd T. must be a bit surprised that BIG S. won it after his mourning after his lost semi.
Watching snooker is many times more horrible than tennis. There is many times so much luck on the table and nerves are just hanging in the air when match is on the edge.

Many congratulations to Bingham. Played out a good fight and got through all the obstacles to lift his first trophy. Very well done to him and also the £300,000 he eared from the tournament as well. Has done extremely well in every round, frame and game and hopefully for himself that will dramatically improve his silverware. Also gone u to number 2 in the world rankings, good stuff.
All commiserations to Murphy as well however.
