Careful now, GC. We can't pick on Milk it's "not getting behind the team".

Go for it I say. You remind me of Jerry Guscott when he described Richie Gray as "bambi on ice".

To be fair, he did eat humble pie for that comment. Respect for that.

Guscott was once the purtyest rugby player on the planet.

Now, I noticed on telly last night that he seems to have turned into a melting waxwork of himself.

I hope I do: it'll mean that Milk has turned into the rugby player we all want him to be, given himself a shake and curdled soured the Japs hope of winning the group. OK

I'm confident that he'll Shake things up. His ability to Skim the ball away from the ruck is seconDairy to his leadership skills. If you think he'll be Cowed by the Japanese, you've Goat to be joking.

I believe the phrase " have some of that" springs to mind as Frodo, Glacius or Milk Scored nearly 50% of Scotland's points and scooped MOTM. Cool

Going off at a welcome tangent from cheese-related topics, I was hungry and went for a scooby-snack during a(nother) lull in the France/Romania game and found a box of those M&S chokky biscuits* that you normally only get at Christmas. They are half price just now. Anyway, I ate too many and feel a bit sick now but, if there was ever a biscuit world cup, M&S chokky ones would be the equivalent of the all-blacks.
Mods - I do not work for Marks and this is not product placement (although I am available to front any advertising campaign that they may consider)

* other biscuits are available but, let's be honest, they are minging compared to M&S ones

They are, indeed, constituent parts of said box of biscuits, Radge. And they are the ones that make you feel sick when eaten to excess. Very Happy

You have just gone up in my estimation. That said, when I was in what I and others can jokingly refer to as my "prime", props got respect from skulling 15 pints of beer rather than OD'ing on M&S biscuits

These threads are awesome. They morph from enlightened/vitriolic rugby opinion, to some of the best humour on the forum, to parenting advice and now a secret eater / alcoholic support group! Hug

Excellent, my songbird amigo.

You do realise that when I said I would buy a round ..... Erm

Is the bridge Tavern the one you said was under a bridge and sold a wide selection of real ales with twigs in to men in ill-fitting corduroys and Josh Strauss beards?

That sounds about right. Some of the men wear chinos, but there's usually bird feed leaking from a hole in a pocket.

If you'd said RDW I just wouldn't believe you.

Ahem, I think you'll find I bought a round once in 2012.

Is there a blue plaque on the wall of the pub to mark the occassion!!?

Congratulations Jimbo

Off the topic of cheese etc, but glasgow have tweeted about their game tonight, are they playing a friendly or something, as there is nothing on the pro12 site about any fixture this evening?

Glasgow are playing a warm-up match against the Army - they've published an extended squad, but not a starting XV or 23.

Also, it says something wonderful about this place that talking about actual Glasgow Warriors playing actual rugby now counts as 'off topic'!

Is this a charity match or something?

Solomons will no doubt be hammering his squad in this intervening period. I get the feeling that training under Solomons is a pretty thankless task at times!

Considering that the quiet Bok and I will have been drinking since the 8:oo hours o'clock am train left Kings Cross and apparently the Bridge Inn does Haggis Toasties there may be a mutli-coloured plaque on the authentically reclaimed floorboards to mark the occasion.

Going off-topic; at Scotstoun tonight, Junior's mates are coming round to play with his new friends.

Bad news for Edinburgh - Ben Toolis has had to have elbow surgery and is out with an unkown return date.

We're OK for 2nd row cover now with McKenzie and Bresler starting and Alex Toolis on the bench, but one more injury and we'll be scratching around looking for 2nd rows like Glasgow!

When you look at the likes of Scott Cummings, Ickle Jonnie, Richie Gray not to mention the Caotain...No you'll never produce second like Glasgow.
