Who's next?
This isn't so Mayweather thread but I was thinking of the amount of threads across all boxing forums and I'd guess a huge amount of them would be about him over the past 5/6 years.
With his retirement from boxing (if we're to take it serious),
who's the next fighter to take over the mantle of being the discussion king?
The boxer that has threads started about him relating to all different aspects of his life and skills whilst keeping forums in business?
I'm going to plump for GGG. He gets enough column inches already and as long as Ward and him keep fuelling verbally then he'll do fine.
Anyway, who are we going to be talking about most now Floyd has gone?

Re: Who's next?
Ah yes good one. A heavyweight like him knocking everyone out will be right up there. Forgot about Joshua. The world will be talking about him if he keeps stopping everyone when he moves up a level.

Plus being British it'll sell UK papers and I think because he's not Eastern European the US fans will support him.

Re: Who's next?
If Joshua wins the title then yes. After the hype he's had he could get a nasty fall if he slips up. Wilder would be a 50/50 shoot out with a lot on the line.
Would be nice to have less threads hijacked by the Mayweather fan club, but don't expect them to slow down any time soon. Think a few posters will disappear if he did

Re: Who's next?
Don't see Joshua Wilder as 50/50 at all. Wilder windmills far too much. If he's throwing them from out wide he's leaving himself exposed to those spiteful, straight ones down the pipe he could go early. Hit plenty of fresh air trying to batter that internet troll.

Agree with Wilder. Joshua's only competition is 40 years old. He has seen better days

Re: Who's next?
You two really are defensive.
Not seen Joshua get hit yet. May not be a 50/50 by the time it happens but it really is going into the unknown at the moment. Expect it to happen too, can't see Joshua going for Wlad when Wilder is holding a bout

Re: Who's next?
No one else thinks GGG then?
He's a dose second to Floyd on most other forums and with his style he's only going to get more fans.
Swansea it asked if he's already peaked, on another site. I hadnt given touch thought as he is taking care of business as good as he's ever done but neglecting his defence. He is 33 too so there could be some weight in that.

Re: Who's next?
GGG's style like Azumah Nelson's does lend itself to longevity....Not sure he has the opponents to catapult him to superstardom Ranj..
He is also from EE.. ....Heavy however has always been the blue riband division.

Re: Who's next?
That's his issue, style and longevity. He really needed to be where he's at now a couple of years ago. Shame he couldn't have fought Martinez when Chavez jnr fought him.
He does have heights still to reach though and wins against Lemieux, Canelo and a move up to fight Ward will see him there. Needs to make the last two fights quickly after his next. Doesn't have time to waste.

I've said that all along Ranj...Unfortunately he's bulletproof on here with some...
Cried wolf too many times.....
He has time though...Loved to have seen Froch v GGG..

Re: Who's next?
If GGG were 5 or 6 years younger. Joshua really is the obvious choice. If he keeps knocking opponents out.
He is no Tyson, but he has a nasty streak. Good see a heavy who likes to go in there and smash folk.
