He's an empty suit.....Said it all along he's a charismatic actor...The real power is carried by his string wielding puppet master Osbourne.

Osbourne has gambled that most of the people affected by tax credits don't vote Tory..

Politics is all a big game.....Labour's problem is in their present mess they can't exploit this mess the Tories are in ...on this issue...

There was an excellent article written by George Monbiot yesterday (you'll find it on www.monbiot.com) which compares him to Alden Pyle in The Quiet American.

He's simply blissfully ignorant of the true impact of all of these cuts. He doesn't even know how much he's cut, for goodness' sake.

He's part of the Chicago School of economics and he warps any real event to fit his already learned criteria.

But then again, the British public elect some Eton rich boy snob and all of his old Bullingdon mates and then complain that they have a lack of perspective.

The Cameron delusion by Peter Hitchens is definitely worth a read.

Being an Old Etonian isn't, in itself, necessarily a bad thing. The school has, after all, produced some 17 Prime Ministers down the years including Churchill... not that Churchill was a great politician either but he had his moments.

My opinion on Cameron is that he has absolutely no idea of what ordinary people do to earn a living, nor the pressures and stresses they have to go through to live ordinary lives. He is surrounded by like minds in the Cabinet... Osborne, May, et al, and also has a hard-core right wing element to deal with in people like Peter Bone and Julian Lewis amongst others.

He makes ridiculous appointments such as giving the job of Equalities Minister to Caroline Dinenage, a woman who voted against gay marriage..!! Dave just doesn't see the irony in that. Notably, Ms Dinenage (daughter of hard line tory TV presenter, Fred Dinenage) has voted for restrictions on campaigning by third parties, for increasing the rate of VAT, for reducing the amount of welfare benefits, she voted for the bedroom tax, against illness and disability benefits, against increased spending on providing jobs for young people.... the list could go on and on.

And the number of motions tabled which would directly challenge inequality in Britain, since she took over...? Nil.

Is this the record of a person who is in touch with the needs of ordinary people..? Is this a person who has the needs, cares and concerns of the underprivileged at the forefront of her thinking..?

I cite her as a typical example of the sort of person that David Cameron puts in important jobs. He simply hasn't got a clue.

David Cameron has already stated that he doesn't wish to serve a third term as Prime Minister in five years time. That's small solace for what we face over the next five years, but I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies.
