The Return of Sheep - RESULT

First topic message reminder :

Sheep is back albeit without the late (great) host paperbag_puncher.

Anyone ever play sheep? Basically I'll ask a series of "culturally" related questions and the aim is to answer with the most popular answer. You would PM me your answers for each round. So for example if in a sports round I asked name a boxing heavyweight champion and 7 people said Ali they would get 7 points. If 5 said Louis they would get 5 points and so on. There will be 10 questions in each round. Whoever gets the most points in each round of questions wins. There will be 5 rounds in each season provided the pilot is successful.

Points will be awarded to the first 5 players in each game no matter how many players.

1st -10
2nd-7
3rd-5
4th-3
5th-1

If there is a tie for a position players will get equal full points for their position, eg if 3 people tie for 1st then all 3 will get 10 points each. Games must have a minimum of 10 players. The winner of each season will be the person with most points after the 10 games. If level after 10 games the winner will be decided by how many 1st places a person had and so on.

Not sure I understand the points scoring. I got 8/10 of those films which alone would add up to 128 which is more than what I got. Thats not including any points for the other 2 guesses that weren't the most popular?
Maybe I shouldn't be rocking the boat here as I'm in 2nd but I'm confused.

I think it's the ten most popular answers that are selected, then your score is based on that. The top 5 are awarded points for the round.

Sean probably cocked up your score. But you don't get points if your pick wasn't the popular choice.

8/10 not bad, although cant believe people choose spiderman over platoon. genuinely struggled on williams, no real massive stand out film. i went with good will hunting just because it was his most acclaimed role

If you had Scarface for Al Pacino, or Platoon for Defoe, blame Trebs whose choices ended the stalemate with The Godfather and Spiderman respectively.

Defoe - Spiderman 12
Pacino - Scarface 12

Michaels, this suggests that Trebs' choice of The Godfather and Spiderman beat out Scarface and Platoon. Did you balls up the explanation or the winner?

Wouldn't have happened under Tina's watch but we'd still be watching for results at this point.

My points total is wrong too however it would make 3/5 of f*ck all difference to my chances of scoring points but it does call into question, yet again, the ability of Michaels to run a quiz. It's been said before, and I'll say it again, this ain't no Culture Cup 2.0
