But everything is "progressing smoothly" according to the latest ICC press release...

Mustafizur was MOM for me, then again bowlers never get it, especially from a losing side, Williamson 40 was good, but first 12-13 overs of the match looked a decent batting pitch

England got this, herath only good bowler, and batting just dilshan is good but past it and chandimal, Matthews are decent.

The odds on Sri Lanka have meant I've had to place my money on them today - the way England struggled against the Afghan spinners, makes me think they'll struggle with Herath too.

Toss is key - if we can bowl first and chase it's good for two reasons;

1. We're a much much better chasing side
2. The dew factor

The Lankan leggie is a pretty decent bowler.....Eng would underrate hum at their pwril

If money is what you're after, an each-way on Moorlands Mist in the 14:35 at Haydock won't go amiss.

I thought that on live viewing. Umpires call on replay though, so fair enough decision.

First ball from Herath is the only one that has really ragged. I'd still be targeting 160.

Sri Lanka's "cunning" plan appears to be bowling spin at England.

Root goes....this pitch is playing a bit easier than the one against Afg.

140 is the min....a fighting total....we don't really know how much is enough in this tournament

I'd have sent Morgan in ahead of Buttler. Plays spin better when playing well, and if he just goes out swinging he either hits his way into some form or doesn't waste many balls either way.

Both Root/Roy have got in and out - neither making a match defining score - need one of the rest to do so

Roy was doing so good using his feet and going down with a straight bat.....until he decided to hoik, across the line...missing a top spinner that skidded in

pitch is a 155-160 par score i can say now..... ball's coming onto the bat

Think I just caught a glimpse of Willey padded up - good move if so.

Feel 160 minimum is needed by England. Whilst the wicket doesn't look too easy for batting, the outfield seems pretty fast.

Matthews has c0cked up massively with his captaincy here tho - how do you have a lad who hasn't bowled an over in the tournament yet bowling the 18th over

well Lankans expected Eng to crumble at the sight of spinners and once their 3 spinners , didn't have the affect they hoped.....Lanka had no plan B...until the last good over they bowled.

and the pitch is better than many other pitches in the tournament.....not the slow turner...but one that will reward hit the deck hard bowlers and hit through the line stroke players.

Eng set a 170+ and in my view 70-30 favorites now to win unless chandimal or Mathews play an exceptional inning

Agreed Duty - need to get Dilshan early.

Really good innings by England - Root/Roy set a good platform getting through the better Sri Lankan bowlers with minimal damage. Buttler/Morgan batted well, but Sri Lanka really did bowl poorly in those final 5
