And happy birthday to Jeff and to Superfly. When I get my chance to be mayor of London I'll organise a parade along the Thames to celebrate Jeff's birthday. And as an additional pun-based tribute the lucky boat people will be invited to join in by rowing or rowing.

And I will install a new bench on the southbank in honour of Superfly.
(As an interesting Scot-based aside, when I went to the Royal Festival Hall on Saturday (see previous post about Beethoven) I followed a Scottish beggar and his dog over the bridge from Embankment. He shouted "foreign c*nts, going the wrong f*cking way" the entire time.)

It was quite funny, he was quite thorough in explaining what I should look out for in terms of cancer, and drew a big man sausage and balls diagram to aid this. It was a pretty poor effort after 7 years in med school - no pubes, japs eye or squirting sperm

Good morning.

I was at a club a few weeks ago quietly having some dinner. There had been some kid's party beforehand and they were all running around the place - out of control. High on juice no doubt.

Right near where I was sitting adjacent to the kiddies area was a whiteboard. This kid... must have been 7 or 8? was with a couple of girls of similar age. He grabbed the marker and drew a large one with big balls and the slit eye... then looked around the room for a reaction. The girls had a bit of a giggle.

It was incredibly hard to keep a straight face. The place was just about packed out with concerned looking parents trying to bring their offspring to heel. A hush then went about the room... a few shrieks of laughter. Should have taken a photo of it.

Anyway sean, it's good to hear your nutsack is getting proper medical attention.

When I was 12 I was witness to a horrible row in my neighbours house. Lovely Irish family with all the associated stereotypes of gingers and bad tempers. Anyway, the husband had narrowly failed a teaching course he had failed to prepare adequately for. But the dispute was whether or not his mother could look after the children ever again. This was because upon finding out (over the phone) that her son had failed she'd made a pithy comment the granddaughter had picked up on and stored in her memory. So while they were discussing the exam in their own house the next day, their 6 year old daughter with the most cherubic face god ever gave to any human said "Granny said, if daddy took his face out of mummy's fanny and put it into his book, he would have passed".

Was just on the phone to the guy a few hours ago. Colour selected as well as the waterline tiles. I'm going to inspect a pool in Lugarno which has the same colour - Devonport. Quite a dark blue. Always believed light blue was more enticing but that can be too blinding here on a hot day.
The tiles are going to be "Istanbul" - sort of a sapphire blue with tints of mid blue, copper and gold.

That would be nice, mate. They say a darker coloured pool looks more inviting and refreshing in summer... less so in winter.
I never swim in winter anyway - but I might give it a go this winter with the heating on.
