Friday Fun - Rumours

Anyone got any rumours, or deliberately spread false rumours that have been picked up? I'll start.

Joe Calzaghe is back in the gym and training for a comeback against the eventual winner of the Super 6. Last night he was seen on Ringside sporting a heavily made over black eye picked up in sparring sessions organised by his new trainer ***** *******.

Manny Pacquaio has split from his wife, and openly declared an ongoing homosexual affair he has been having with a well to do English chap by name of Mr D. Incarnation IV.

I did read somewhere not long ago that Calzaghe had agreed to come out of retirement to fight Froch...

Dear god a Calzaghe comeback, this opens up two scary possibilities. The first is the likes of Ceej and HMS re-opening the Calzaghe is great/a bum debate that has thankfully abated a little. The second and perhaps even more scary possibility is a second volume of No Ordinary Joe. Please, please, please no

I read that a Mr G Foreman has decided to come out of retrement to contest the WBACF Supermiddleweight title against a certain Mr E Pacquaio. A snag which seems unlikely to be overcome is that Team Pacquaio are insisting that mr Foreman come in no heavier than 165lbs.

Mr Foreman it seems is ducking Mr Pacquaio.

I heard that Pacquiao is completely clean and has never used any performance enhancing substances of any kind.

I think Calzaghe would be foolish to fight Froch. I would definitely put Froch down to win although I guess if he did come out of retirement and win it would stop people questioning his legacy...

Did anyone see ringside last night? I'd not had too many beers so pretty sure it was a black eye.

Had a mate who played top level rugby. Another mate thought it would be funny to spread a rumour that he was nobbing baby spice. 2/3 weeks later it appeared as a full page spread in the News of the World.

I watched it mate - didnt notice a black eye though. May have just been me. Joe looked very bored though - espy when Colin Hart was talking!

Apparently Shenglong is English.

Calzaghe has just tweeted saying he just got back from the gym after doing pad work with his dad...fuelling the rumours!!
