Five Fantasy Leaguers had four picks score points but only one of them picked Alex Noren and it made all the difference for Raycastleunited. BlueCoverman, Kwinigolfer, Owen10ozzy, and SirBenson also had four picks score and all ended with a high placed finish.  Beninho, Eyetoldyouso, GolerMartin, and SetupDetermines all had three picks score points.  Davie, EmmDee57, LadyPutt, Pedro, Sand, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver each had two picks score points; Super_Realist also picked Noren.  AlciG and I'm Never Wrong both had one pick score points.

Callum Shinkwin shot 65 for the low round of the day.

The Scottish Open moving to a links course shortly before the Open Championship has seen the field steadily improve as players try to get to grips with the style of play needed to compete.  Henrik Stenson headlines the field fresh off of his victory in the BMW International Championship.  Rickie Fowler has chosen not to defend his title so that leaves Phil Mickelson as the latest former winner to have won at Castle Stuart; Jeev Milkha Singh and Luke Donald also have Scottish Open titles from Castle Stuart.  Other former winners in the field include Edoardo Molinari, Martin Kaymer, Graeme McDowell, Gregory Havret, Johan Edfors, Colin Montgomerie, and Thomas Bjorn.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

It's not that I don't trust you but I had the same happen to me and therefor had to sit out as per the rules.
I don't think we should make an exception in this case either.

I must admit I'm not that comfortable with allowing LadyPutt to play the picks that disappeared into the ether especially as we can avoid this potential precedent as she had left standing instructions for picks by numbers.

The weather played a huge factor in the scoring at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open. Just two players, Felipe Aguilar and Scott Hend, broke 70 and they both were in the morning wave. Eight other players shot 70 to round out the Top 5 Low Round scores. Five of the eight were picks and Owen10ozzy had two of them. GolferMartin, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, SirBenson, and Super_Realist all had one of those five. That ended the Fantasy League scoring in round one.

I'm traveling tonight so updates for the weekend rounds may be delayed.

The Open will be posted Monday or Tuesday. I would ask that folks post withdrawals and replacements as they become known. With only two amateurs qualified there will be no Low Amateur as it'll be a 50/50 guess. Due to further traveling I'm not sure how frequently I will be able to post until dates from the Open.

Scoring was a lot better in round two but some players were left with too much to do to make the cut at plus two. It was a real mixed bag from the Fantasy Leaguers as some almost kept the full set and some were lucky to still be alive. Cut bonuses were relatively hard to come by but if you got one you were more likely to get a second. Five Fantasy Leaguers earned two cut bonuses and three of them, GolferMartin, Kwinigolfer, and SirBenson, have eight picks left. Owen10ozzy and Pedro have seven picks left and they were the last two to double up on a cut bonus. I'm Never Wrong, Raycastleunited, and SetupDetermines all have six picks left and SetupDetermines earned a cut bonus. Beninho, BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, Sand, and TheCleaver all have five picks left; Beninho, Sand, and TheCleaver earned the final cut bonuses. Davie and EmmDee57 have four picks left, AlciG and LadyPutt have three, and McLaren and Super_Realist have just the two.

Four players tied for the low round of the day after shooting 66s.  Alex Noren earned points for Raycastleunited and Super_Realist (and LadyPutt had her post not disappeared), Danny Lee earned points for Beninho, Jorge Campillo earned points for TheCleaver.  Alejandro Canizares also shot 66.

With scoring being ridiculously low compared to the opening round twenty players, eleven of them picks, made the Top 10 Low Round scores by shooting 68 or lower and as a result a whole host of Fantasy Leaguers scored well. BlueCoverman, Kwinigolfer, Raycastleunited, and SirBenson all had four picks score points. Owen10ozzy had three of his picks score as he was overtaken by SirBenson. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, Pedro, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score while AlciG, Beninho, LadyPutt, and Super_Realist each had one pick score points.

Justin Walters and Romain Wattel both shot 65 to tie for the low round of the day.
