Board Games
No idea where the best place for this but...
Anyone on here play board games, such as Pandemic, XCOM2, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Mansions of Madness etc.?
If so, what have you played recently? Playing Betrayal for the first time on Friday, and wondering if anyone had any views on it.

Yeah, favourites: Stone Age, Seasons, Castles of Burgundy, Istanbul, Tzolk'in.
Although can't beat articulate or telestrations for fun with a group.

Heard of it, never played. Have Pandemic and I like it but don't have a lot of people who like to cooperate haha.

Re: Board Games
You should give it a go Scott, loads of fun.
Pandemic is hard, I have played through it about 6 times and only come close once.
Though drinking whilst playing it doesn't help. Try Xcom, similar style but driven by an app which adds a bit to it.

Really? You can adjust the difficulties by changing the number of epidemic cards etc. Personally I find the 'medium' settings quite easy.
Have you use boardgamearena, Yucata etc? Worth a look if not, although not as good as using an actual board, good for testing games.

Re: Board Games
Not a board game so to speak but I've just ordered the Card games and a few expansions of 'Superfight'. Looks like a family friendly version of Cards Against Humanity.

If you want to go the other way from Cards Against, try Joking Hazard from the cyanide and happiness guys...

Or Apples to Apples. Never played it myself.
Spyfall is a good one and you can play from a phone app.

Can't beat a game of Monopoly. However, an old board game that was great as well was Escape from Colditz. Highly recommendable if you can lay your hands on one of them off e-bay.

Re: Board Games
Board games are making a big comeback, but a lot of co-operative games, and strategy games also.

Thanks rick. Should be easy to set up, given the extraordinary level of detail you've gone into.

Hard to describe without too many spoilers, so I will let this guy do it instead.
