World cup for tennis: good idea?

I like the idea of this type of format, although my preference would be for the Davis Cup to morph into this format - perhaps with finals held every 2 years, rather than it being a standalone rival competition to Davis Cup further eating into the schedule. What does everyone else think?

Ivan Lendl thought the same as you years ago as well
