How biased is Nick Dougherty towards Mcilroy

All of Sky tend to be, he was the lead story on their verdict show last night. Apparently he is the biggest draw for U.K. golf fans and their figures go up considerably when he's in contention.

Nice to wake up to a little bit of carnage . . . . . .

One hell of a run Pubehead is on.

If he can get it to -4 before the rain and wind get up he's in prime position.

Clearly good scoring from McIlroy but there's another former winner going even better. Got to say I never really liked Zach Johnson but fair play, the guy knows how to get it round in tough conditions.

Sky were always like that with Tiger .. especially the dreadful Marc Roe (sp?)

You've a short memory then. I can't think of a player that the media has been more fawning to. I remember Sam Torrance would nearly spunk his trousers every time he came on.

Would think cut-line will certainly go to +5 unless there's a suspension of play. Lucky for Jason Day, among others, hopefully including Westwood & Leishman.

If ever there was an example of getting out of one's way and banishing the technical thoughts Rory's it the last day and a half. I had a similar experience recently started terribly, then relaxed and shot 65.......

Butch Harmon just mentioned that there had been tension between Bones and Mickelson for some time, but he was still surprised at the split.

Advantage to the afternoon guys with soft greens and wind abating? Golfers at +5 possibly getting nervous??

Not sure why he didn't take relief from the TIO (electronic scoreboard) that was between him and the hole.

US Announcers did not make any reference to it at all.

I should not be surprised Kent Bulle is playing so well. He's from Glasgow, after all.

A Rory/Jordan finish this Sunday would be amazing. Unfortunately I'll be on a 6 hour drive at the time and going into media blackout is difficult.

Spieth really does know how to putt. On a different note, Richie Beem makes a decent commentator.

Impressive comeback by Alfie Plant. And Stoneham's own is holding his own, in his usual bland manner.

Disappointing from Harrington....he fought until the end but 2 birdies in 36 holes regardless of conditions won't get it done

I agree, I think majors should present the biggest challenge in the game but I suppose the Open depends on weather more than the other majors

The attempt to outlaw it was pathetic in the extreme. If they'd worded a proper regulation, this wouldn't be an issue. How about, both hands must be in some sort of contact with one another throughout any golf stroke?
