Greatest Musical Artist of the last 100 years Group 25
Elton John was probably the biggest scalp to fall by the wayside yesterday, someone that in one of the weaker groups would have probably romped it but he lost out to The Jam and The Doors.
In the other group I have to admit I was surprised that the Smiths only came 2nd behind Lou Reed.
Here's the first of today's groups for you lovely people

The Pixies were an obvious choice for me. Went for The Who over Eminem as Baba O'Riley is probably in my all time top 20.

Yes, good to see the Pixies get a mention although I'm going to go all typical old fart now and say that their latest stuff is a bit pap. Doolittle and Pilgrim amongst my favourite albums however.
Anyway, is it me or have the Beatles not yet been listed? I also tend to have a problem with boy bands being listed on any "greatest" lists. Aren't they just manufactured for large scale music sales at their point in time and tend not to leave a musical legacy as such?
