SRU just bought Warriors 2 so forget about a 3rd Scottish team for now..

I think that an odd # of teams per country wouldn't work very well. I would let the Pro 14 as it is now prove itself, so far so good i would say.

That's what I thought. Apart from the RFU, the decision about Gloucester not being allowed to be owned by the owner of Montpellier would set a precedent against it.

As for the main subject of the article I cannot see any prospect of another Italian or Scottish team unless someone with millions to lose turns up.

Most likely scenario - unless the US plan comes to pass - is two more SA teams. Not commenting on whether that would be a good or bad thing for the competition.
