First topic message reminder :

As Olly roundly predicted (and I can tell you, he aggressively told people), England have stormed the Ashes and now move forwards to a one-day series with the Aussies.

Tonight, they name the squad for New Zealand, with Vince expected to keep his place for more convincing knocks, whilst Liam Livingstone is tipped to get the call too.

Dreadful news for Toblerone Jones, who is out for the season with another stress fracture of the back

Haseeb Hameed dropped by Lancashire for this round of county championship games. Think we can safely say he won’t be playing for England this summer...

That is very disappointing news.I had great hopes for him after his initial efforts in India but it's been all downhill since , one way and another. Hope he can get back on track...he is still very young.

Nothing like a badly timed injury to mess up a promising career...

That is pretty bad, Stonemans really struggled so far this season too and really hasnt done much as a test player.

Other England players / hopefuls so far in the CC:

Cook 110 @36.7
Stoneman 105@17.5
Root 35@17.5
Bairstow 57@28.5
Vince 186@26.1
Malan 137@46.7
Livingstone 131@21.83

Ballance 187@22.8
Westley 36@13.2
Hameed 19@7
Foakes 301@60.2
Clarke 245@35
Jennings 131@33.3

Moeen ..one game in the IPL, 10 runs.
Stokes 160 @20 in IPL

Its pretty depressing reading given that Foakes is unlikely to feature.

Hameed on his return to the Lancs side at 3 - gets a 13 ball duck.
