Gallagher Premiership 2020/21
First topic message reminder :
That's not a high tackle. Heyes initial contact is the chest. If you're going to review it, review it properly. It's a legal tackle.
How did the assistant miss that the LI player knocks the ball out of JVP's hands and into touch before the Joseph break. It was right in front of him FFS. Lineout Tigers.
Anyway, Tigers blow what should have been a straightforward win and only get 4 instead of 5 points. LI manage to snatch 2 league points with a TBP at the death. Probably a fair result as LI were the better side in the first half but didn't really show up in the second. Hassell-Collins is looking like a really classy player, shame Parton went off.

So, at least, the worst I have seen Quins play all season. Bristol does have something to do with it, however....

Looks like Quin's have been patting themselves on the back since making the semi finals. Whilst Bristol have been preparing to win and entertain their fans.

I keep thinking of Malins going back to Saracens. If he is not first choice 15 there (though he is playing on the wing today), he will be pi**ed and will want to leave. Wouldn't you?

As I said about Malins. This guy is on fire. I hope Eddie Jones is watching instead of watching soccer of checkers or whatever his weekend....

OK, Butt-sctrach, will try to be nice. But what else can we do when the feed here in the colonies does not have a half-time show and just shows the pitch with a few people walking aimlessly on it. no voice over at all.

You know the colonies are barely civilised, and you are the absolute last person to elevate them.

Now, THAT is something we can agree on. Good thing Covid is keeping him locked up at home and can't do any further damage to UK relations with any country any more.

Cripe, dad may have dallied with everyone's wife, so not news. Maybe Quins gat a bollocking at halftime or someone threatened to go to the blood capsule cabinet.

To be serious, Quins are finally showing what they are made of. Not sure what changesd were made at halftime, but it was certainly effective.

Quins are much more physical in the second half. Maybe that is the change?
Radradra looks dangerous every time he touches the ball, and, oddly Quins seem to want to tackle him high.

Wow, Quins just literally lew away the Bristol scrum (with John Afoa).

Marler's face at full-time: If I'd held that ball, we might have got a score and won. Now I have to drag my body on for another twenty minutes.

Loved watching this, Bristol have lost a lot of important players, will show character to win it from here. Quins outside backs have been amazing.

Great comeback from Quins. Bristol just couldn't exert control on the game and got drawn into playing loose attacking rugby instead of trying to just close it out. Quins backs though.

For me that was contact to the neck and jaw, TMO totally bottled it.

I don't know, given how precious they've been about high tackles all season, I'm amazed that they let that one slide.

Seen plenty like that carded this season ... would have been interesting to see how it played out if it had been given - did look like head contact to me. The lottery continues ...

Yeah, that looked a clear high shot. Barnes was trying to pass the responsibility to the TMO. Even if the initial contact is to the shoulder it surely qualifies as a 'seatbelt tackle' type offence.

I thought it was a penalty and yellow as he rode up into the head with some force. Harsh end for Bristol but what a comeback from Quins.

That's probably equal with Wales vs France as the best game I've seen this season.

Yes some exceptional attacking rugby with a cliffhanger ending. The next semi final will do well to come close to that level of entertainment.

Re: Gallagher Premiership 2020/21
For club games, you think of Saints against Leinster. This one felt more like that bizarro England Scotland game, where the dominant first half team could, and probably should, have gone in with a bigger lead.

Really good game, got to ask though.. did somebody roofie Bristol at half time? If they'd have managed to gain even a modicum of control in that second half Quins wouldn't have had a chance.

The winner of Exeter vs Sale must now be a hot favourite for the title.

I agree they might be favourites, but there has got to be a little worry creeping in. That comeback by Quins was something to keep opposing coaches up at night.Rugby Fan wrote:The winner of Exeter vs Sale must now be a hot favourite for the title.

Louis Lynagh had a good game. His father wants him to represent the Wallabies (though he has an English public school accent). He can't do that until he moves to Australia, yet he signed again with Quins in March.
