US Open 2022

The US Open starts this week and I have now lost touch with who is playing and who isn't? Are the LIV players banned or not? Is this different governing bodies? #confused

The US Open has said that they will honour all those that are qualified to play, even the LIV players like Phil and DJ

A bit mean on Fat Shane to pair him with Phil and Oosty, two players who may face a fair bit of abuse.

The country club is going to be such a cool venue after Hanse's restoration. Expect some players to cope very badly with the slightly unusual nature of some of the holes compared to a bog standard PGAT course.

I heard Shane is in talks to move to LIV.

My picks (and money on) for the US open:- Justin Thomas, Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson and Corey Connors.

Superb win for Matt Fitzpatrick. Pleased for Billy Foster too. Good to see no LIV players anywhere near the top.

The other winner? Brookline. Looked like a superb test and a great looking course.

What a great tournament. Probably one of the better US opens. As Navy mentioned, the course was a massive part of this.

And what a transformation for Fitzpatrick. It was only last year at the US open where he looked woefully underpowered against the yanks and now he is blasting it past DJ. He was always a good player but some extra ball speed has propelled him to the next level.
