Re: Prem Round 12
That certainly looks worthy of a review - his arm looked tucked and shoulder straight in the kisser - doesn't matter how low he was. Sale do strike me as a bit dirty - the number of times they've got away with foul play against Irish is shocking. Guess Mrs Magoo was in the loo ...

Warr has twice used him to allow him to avoid being tackled let alone allowing him to box kick with no chance of chargedown. The player is in front of the ball and offside blocking a legitimate challenge.
Had a quick look back at some rucks and he looked like he was being careful to be stood behind the back foot in the ones I looked at, so seems legal as long as he doesn't move forwards when the ball is picked up and the SH runs behind him?
If he was in front of the ball when it was picked up on other occasions then for sure that should be off-side and I wouldn't be surprised if that officiating team missed it.

Challenge for the new year for people? 5 mins after each televised match you need to call who will be cited, if anyone, from the game. Last person to call every single one right wins.

My view is fine!
I like watching games played in muck and rain. I'm watching Bath-Newcastle and the pitch is delightfully (for a viewer) awful.

I like the look of Ted Hill's face encrusted with mud after his try. Looked like a right and proper Rugby player. We don't get that with the artificial pitch surfaces. On the other hand, the artificial surfaces are very good for my business!

Disgraceful decision by the ref to award that!!!
And he missed the knock on aswell. Has the bath officials shown their displeasure at us winning!!

Listening to it on the radio and Banahan was very surprised that it was awarded.

I can still remember the iconic picture of Fran Cotton drenched in mud looking closer to a dark furred yeti than a human being. I think it was from the Lions 1977 NZ tour. Those were the days.

Agree, that pic of Fran Cotton is a true classic. I think it would help Rugby to highlight those times when it just looks like folk having a roll around in the mud. Deep down everyone wants to play in the mud like a kid.WELL-PAST-IT wrote:doctor_grey wrote:My view is fine!
