Lovely stuff, alfie. Not a word we see often on here.
Reminds of the time Jeff used 'oeuvre' when describing some j*zz singer.
Although he was being deliberately pompous whereas I suspect yours is accidental pomposity.

Thanks. It's been expected for a while - cancer.
His sense of humour would have liked the way I announced it. It was my little tribute.

Sorry Jules
It is something almost all of us go through if we haven't already. My dad died 10 years ago and I still miss him and his sense of humor very much. I do occasionally see him when I look in the mirror though.

I'll need condolences for my arl man if he keeps sending me messages about Saturday. So far I've had numerous Tricolores, some bizarre video of a man dressed as a croissant singing La Marseillaise and various comments asking me if I want Eddie Jones back or even Sir Clive Woodward.
Anyone would think Scotland actually won at the weekend.

Was being a bit of a drama queen. They are not dead but dying. They may get bailed out but they were always heavily invested in the bond market which is getting pounded and CS have found "material weakness" in their finances. That means a massive debt to asset ratio which spells big trouble.
I suspect they'll get bailed out. SVB is 'only' the 16th biggest bank by asset and they have been bailed out (it is a bail out, despite the propaganda) so Credit Suisse are 'probably' too big to fail.
Enough of that. Shall we talk about norks?

Tyson Fury - "Usyk you gappy teethed ugly bog-eyed rabbit cat'.
Now I'm no fan of most things that Fury says but 'ugly bog-eyed rabbit cat' is magnificent. Bog-eyed rabbit cat is going straight on my list of insults.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
I was wandering past Armley in Leeds the other day, where the prison is located. As I passed the place I looked up and noticed a midget escaping by climbing down a rope on the outer wall.
And I thought to myself, that's a little condescending.

Watching footy and keeping cool. Sicond.
Is that really a photo of you Galts... or just one you dug up from somewhere? l*l
I accidentally rang my cousin in Budapest around 12 midday today... or around 1am her time.
I must have bumped the phone going up the escalator at the local Woolies... fiddling with my pockets and checking my keys were still there.
It's good to know they're all well and it's getting slightly warmer there. During the daytime at least. Not at 1am.

I don't think it's him though... 'He emerged briefly from the sea at lunchtime on Friday for a medical check-up, and to receive eye-drops.' PJ would only emerge briefly from the sea to mow the lawn and sprinkle some chlorine in the pool.
