England - the build-up and winning the World Cup at a canter
First topic message reminder :
Smith in the back field worked nicely against Ireland. We could interchange him and Steward on defensive duty but keep both in the backfield to receive kicks. Ford dropping in it one or the other has chased a kick up field.
I'd like to see if given a go as the attack does need an injection of something and the AB tactic isn't a bad one. Ruck speed and security needs a big upgrade though as that is the main element killing our attack.

What was Earl looking at? Obviously not the ball. So much for the Ben Earl rock and roll train.

RFU should consider marketing Twickenham as a place of quiet contemplation.

This is turning into a nightmare, gruesome defence.
England going to lose this.

Another dire bit of defence there.
Dual playmakers on in the second half again with Ford and Smith together.

Simply unforgivable the amount of handling errors exhibited from England in this game.
If Fiji do win, it would be their first ever win over England.

Hmm, looked in front. A bit lucky?
Also Englands over celebrations are comical.

Re: England - the build-up and winning the World Cup at a canter
Muntz has been impressive throughout alongside Lomani it must be said.
The two playmakers together immediately finding something to be slightly cheerful about. I would've wanted to see that from another angle though. Not convinced it was level. These things are so often looked at laxly in these friendlies though. There were a few that felt it went against England in the Ireland game.
That's far better defence from May. Nayacalevu is not slow, to run him down and make that sort of hit is really good work to be fair.

Clearly level. Definitely not obvious so attack is favoured as per the laws.

Mitchell has largely had a better game than the three SHs we've previously seen in the warmups so that's a frustrating error.
Big kick for Muntz... And he nails it. He looks a really good player and is exactly the sort of player Fiji likely wouldn't develop if not for the Drua. A sign of that system working.

Sinfield is coaching England in the ways of Rugby League with all this chipping and punting in the opposition 22.

Why keep it in hand when you're 5m from the line when you can kick it away ...

Nice to see Ford's decision making is right up there. Keep kicking when it is not on. Bloody hell.

Ludlam has once again been good since coming on. On this he'd be my starting 8 ahead of Billy even if he is fit. I just hope Curry can get fit to take one of the flanks for R1.

Marchant has been a rare positive across a very depressing run of warmups. He should be locked in at 13 for R1.

Massively impressed by this defence. Come the next 6 nations I may have a bet on England not conceding any tries.

The idea that the first thing a new coaching team fixes is a team's defence has been coming under some severe scrutiny with England.

Think it's just because the attack looks that good it's overshadowing the defence tbf.

I really love Ravutaumada as a winger but that's once again lacklustre defence to allow the offload. He should be getting wrapped up man and ball when stepping inside to a defence with plenty of numbers. Just poor.

Well another 80 mins on the edge of my seat. Nice to see Fiji win as its a nice day for them while we look forward to the big one round the corner. Fitness looks on point. Attack crackling. Defence like a wall.

Historic moment for Fiji. Very well done to them, fully deserved. Got a real shot of making it out of their group, which is incredibly open.
England? Christ. So short of the basics that you have to wonder what Borthwick and co have been doing in training.

Horrendous. Attack pretty good but defence utterly utterly awful.
