Borthwick is obviously in the stands and has made the comments that there's guys in this team he would be looking at in the near term he would like to see step up. He's also not stupid and realises unless he gets some optimism his time is up so I reckon we may see some of these guys in the Ireland game squad. Hodge Murley Ojomoh in the backs?

This could be Ireland England in a fortnight although in this case Ireland playing in white and England in red...

It has been a fun watch, but I'm not sure how much we are learning from it. Players are performing under no real pressure from the opposition.

Almost guaranteed that the England full team wouldn't have been quite as entertaining

I know it's Portugal...but I really think Barbeary needs to be in the mix for Ireland. We need a carrier and boy can he carry....

Hard to really assess players when they are just so much stronger up front - but -

Tuima is really good - should really break into the 1st team on that performance. Front row excellent. Perfect kind of game for an old head like Ewels. Back row great too. If I have a criticism (and it may be being unkind) Pearson's highlights are terrific but he seems to go missing at other times.

Randall for the 1st team

Ojomoh looks good. Beard quiet. Muir good but I think this level is his ceiling. Murley better but I don't think he's better than IFW or Freeman. Hodge looks really good also

Randall, Murley, Ojomoh, Barbeary all those could be in senior team. Muir? Hmm dunno.
Imagine Freeman at 13 with wings IFW and Murley. Randall 9, Smith M at 10. Be a fun watch.

Hodge looks like he would break if tackled by a heavy forward, stick thin.

I would love it if Ojomoh was our answer at 12. He has the potential to be very good.

I wonder what the status is with Marcus Smith..on his recovery timeline...
