Three Quins Vs Tigers "Big Game" fixtures and now three draws. Youngsy just wanted to keep the fun stat alive.

I really think Tigers could have come away with the win there, I'd liked to see what would have happened with a couple of more plays. I feel that Pollard would have the greater goal kicking distance if it came down to a penalty.

I'd have liked to see us try another carry or two keeping closer to the touchline in case of conceding the penalty to make it tough for Quins. Get into their half and then tee up Polly for a long range drop goal attempt.

Well that was much more entertaining ... I would comment on the TMO for Quins' last try but someone will tell me off

I think for once you'd be safe, that was so blatant a man sausage up by the TMO.

I thought for a minute we were watching France with a French TV director as the obvious angle wasn't shown until it was too late - although you would have hoped the TMO at least looked at it ...

There was more than a clue before that because the ball started before the line and was caught after. Should have promoted a proper review.
Given Kata probably deserved a red it pretty much evens out with the TMO not being the sharpest thinker on show.
Shame though as it would have completed a hat trick of big hits from Steward stopping tries.

There have been nine straight, soul-searching Premiership defeats for Exeter – but there will not be a tenth, after a victory over Gloucester which Henry Slade described as “better than sex”.

Aren't there books and video to help with that?formerly known as Sam wrote:Lowlandbrit wrote:I thought that was the next line:Rugby Fan wrote:There have been nine straight, soul-searching Premiership defeats for Exeter – but there will not be a tenth, after a victory over Gloucester which Henry Slade described as “better than sex”.

I also know a woman who for a nominal fee could teach proper technique. I know her only in the strictest professional sense, of course...

The authorities have admitted an error was made and that Murley's second try shouldn't have stood. As we all said at the time Dombrandt's pass was way forward.

Looked pretty clear to me. Certainly clear enough to warrant a second look by TMO.formerly known as Sam wrote:https://archive.ph/p7iI4

Would have been helpful if the tv replay from the side was shown in slow motion.

Re: Premiership Rugby Round 9
It was clearly forward for that final try but I honestly though the Kata yellow would be a red, so it's not been one I'm spitting feathers over it. An abysmal bit of a officiating if they made the call before seeing all angles. I didn't fell that the reffing in that game really tipped one way or another though. There were iffy calls that benefited both sides.

Happy New Year.
I agree with you about Kata as well. I disagreed with the referee's description of the mitigation and thought it was a pretty clear red.

Re: Premiership Rugby Round 9
I didn't think Kata attempted to wrap his arms at all. Should have been red and as always dangerous or reckless play there shouldn't have been any mitigation.
I thought Carley did a fair job. Wasn't an easy game to officiate really given both teams were going after the breakdown and moving the ball.
The two contentious decisions were really the fault of the TMO.
