Re: England women
Always wanted to ask some questions about women's cricket, as I have yet to meet a woman who actually aware of women's cricket.
Does it not feel like, because some women loves to play cricket, so they insist on having cricket tournaments, where they have a chance to show their skills?
How many women's cricket supporters actually bother to watch the games??
Has any one carried out a research or study, on how many % of people (both male and female) follow women's cricket??
How many of us remember names of cricket heroins?? I for one know the Guha, but is it good enough??
Should not this women's cricket stop??

Re: England women
No, it is growing year by year, and the England women's team in particular have had great success in recent times, with their skill levels increasing, too.
Somehow I imagine you would be more keen, were India ladies any good.

Re: England women
Agreed its growing year by year, and the games are often brilliant. Getting an England Ladies t20 followed by a county t20 for the price of a usual t20 game is brilliant as well!
Re: England women
Are the England team still the team to have full time professoinals (albeit that they have to peform various coaching and promoting roles)?

Re: England women
I've watched some of the games and I think it's great! There aren't as many boundaries as in the men's game, and the bowling is less fast, but they're some great skills on show. In particular, I really love Sarah Taylor as a wicket-keeper

Re: England women
I was just devastated that Ellyse Perry wasn't playing for Australia this tour. She is by far by favourite player to watch, and in addition she is quite good at cricket.
In all honesty, I just can't get excited by women's cricket. I think they missed a trick by not shortening boundaries for the matches and allowing more sixes and fours to be hit. Getting higher scores would just make it more exciting for a casual viewer. It is a little sad, because their are some good skill levels on show there. That criticism a side, it was a fantastic idea to put them on before male domestic games and hopefully will have showcased them more.
Aslong as the ICC doesn't go for the Sepp Blatter route of getting them to wear shorter skirts to get more men watching...
