Bakermaat aren't (isn't?) very good. Most of their songs just have a sax in them. I think it's Nu Jazz.

It's sore but generally pain free as long as I don't move my arm too much or too quickly. Doctor said 6-8 weeks to heal fully.

Had a weird experience driving home in the wee hours the other night. Not a car on the road but only a seagull (20km inland) flying very low in front of my windscreen for about 100m. I was looking straight at its feet (landing gear retracted) and had a view right up its clacker... which was distracting to say the least. I honestly don't think it noticed me. I was in its blind spot. It was travelling at about 50-60 km/h too.

Yes it was an annoying day's cricket, LD. The weather hasn't been great here, and it's ruined my plans, for the most part. Lots of rain/cloudy weather about, and the girls don't come out when it's rainy/cloudy. As an aside,at your suggestion I've booked a day's open water Jetskiing on the 30th with a mate. Hopefully the sun comes out with the girls, and the sharks stay away.

That's because tourist types generally have no idea of how far off they are. Generally speaking - two. types die at the sea: locals who overrate their actual nautical abilities, and tourists who simply don't know where they are. Although I suppose people who find out a little late in the game that they can't swim are a third type. It's amazing how many people who can't swim nearly drown at the sea in SA... I can't walk a tightrope, so I don't pick the tallest set of buildings to gauge how good I am.

I'm not snowed in because the storage shed provides a shield from the snow. But I can't step two steps further because the neighbours are writhing on the floor having been conquered by half a mm frost. Up north they are a hardier bunch so have the same problems with two inches but I guess given Rowley has been Santa over the weekend we should stop talking about his willy.

Had a great day at Elouera today. The beach was packed. Lots of kiddies shrieking around the place.
The water was a perfect temp, nice rolling waves... and the odd chopper hovering 1/2 km out to sea made me feel very safe indeed.

This young kid was mucking around with a boogie board on the sand dune near where I was listening to the cricket (and using my peripheral vision to check out the babes nearby) but I let him flick sand on me I was feeling that good.

However, despite my rinse off at the beach and another shower when I got home I still have the odd grain of sand on the scrotum. That goes with the turf I guess. I feel half Koori now as well... a proper tar-brush as the ex used to call me.

(Just found more sand on my back... how the phuck is that still there? Thought I had eczema for a moment there... phew!)

Sand under the foreskin is a mare TLD, and in the shoes, which gets royally on my knackers...

Not sure screaming kids on a beach would be good for the Christmas eve induced lack of sleep though.
