Friend of 606v2, John Hartson has been in the news today, following on from sick abuse handed out to him on the back of his charity work. John had been visiting a terminally ill 11 year old boy, and posted details of the boys brave battle on twitter. He was then bombarded with sick jibes from a poster called catwoman23UK.

The ex-footy star was left outraged when the cruel yob posted a string of twisted sectarian messages on Hartson's web page about terminally ill Jordan Houston.
The internet fiend - using the Twitter name Catwoman23uk - bombarded the Hoops icon with vile tweets after Hartson uploaded a photo of him with brave Jordan during a visit to see the youngster at a hospice in Kinross last weekend.
One read: "How long has your dying Jordan got john hahahaha watp 1690".
Another post to dad-of-one Hartson - who won his own cancer battle - said: "Hey Fenian I hope your cancer comes back and also your girlfriend gets it and u both die from it leaving you kid with no parents."
Last night Hartson, 36, blasted the web lout and said he was so disgusted he considered quitting Twitter.
The Scottish Sun columnist said: "Some of the comments made me feel sick to the stomach.
"Jordan is a fantastic young kid who is seriously ill. When we had our picture taken I asked his dad Chris if I could add the photo to my Twitter profile - and he said Jordan would love that.
Jordan's stepdad Chris Napier and mum Chloe also hit out at the Twitter bigot.
Brickie Chris, 31, said: "What they are writing about him is disgusting."
Hartson struck up a friendship with Hoops fan Jordan, of Musselburgh, East Lothian, after the lad was diagnosed with an inoperable form of cancer last August.
Catwoman23uk last night claimed their account had been hacked amid a backlash from sickened fellow users.
A Twitter spokesman refused to comment.

The old "my account was hacked" ruse.
Obviously these people are so thick, they dont realise that things like that can be proven to be lies by looking at posting histories and IP addresses.
I truly believe that things like this should carry a criminal conviction - its abuse.

seen this the other day her account got hacked by a celtic fan after she spouted her bile.her password was rangers 1690.sad and ignorant people

Don't for a minute believe the account was hacked. Hopefully the police actually do something and find out who it was and that justice can be done.
Kind of just somes up people nowadays when a coward will get their jollys off of slagging a dying kid.

However I have spent 10-15 minutes on google and can't find any other references to this at all. Would it be the first time that The Sun (scottish or otherwise) has created a mountain out of a molehill? I would expect a story like this to be all over the internet and (so far) it's not

I was actually on line when it was happening. as I am following Hartson, I was seeing a lot of RT's of support for him. So I tracked back and true enough, it was said word for word. This article is correct (except for the hacked account part I would imagine).

What is it they say? You should be careful what you wish for. I for one would break into a wry smile should karma come around and bite this catwoman person in ways sicker than he/she could imagine.

Absolutely vile, Big Bad John is man enough to knock those slimey messages out the park but to further abuse that kid is horrific, I hope there isn't such a thing as karma for catwoman23's sake
