Economical fighters!

Evening all, can anyone name for me fighters past and present that were able to be effective without being overly busy in the ring? Im talking about fighters who conserve energy in a fight but remain accurate. I was at the gym yesterday and I guess father time has caught up with me as I was unable to use my legs as I used to. My punch output has dropped dramatically and I find myself just working on defence. I used to throw a lot more leather in a round but stamina is also an issue. I just wonder if anyone knows of any fighters who have or had styles that would suit someone like myself who is early thirties and less mobile.

Don Curry never wasted a shot in his prime, incredile accuracy. Archie Moore was economical & crafty, never moved a foot if an inch would do. As Duran aged he became less relentless and picked his shots effectively, Holmes too- his output dropped but was cunning and set alot traps for greener opponents

Haye just fights in short bursts, Eubank used to throw the odd punch in between the posturing.

Joe Louis. Economical punching, economical footwork. Beautiful to watch.

Paul Economides from Chester. Never seen him fight but he must be with a name like that.

Louis is a great example, in my opinion, Tino.

Some of the fighters who were adept at fighting ' in the pocket ' such as James Toney might also merit a place in this company. Jersey Joe Walcott might be another. While renowned for his movement, he was very subtle with it, the shoulder shuffles and feints and the footwork often being very understated and economical.

James Toney is a good one Windy. Real old-school fighter in his pomp.

My old favourite, Ricardo Lopez. He would throw a fair few punches, the unfortunate thing for his opponent is that most of them would land exactly where he intended.

Jack Johnson. Pretty economical in defense and attack.
