We could see a few more coming through in the next few years also. Lyth, Rashid, Shahzad all promising young cricketers.

All 3 of those have probably regressed this season, although all still young yet. Lyth can't even get in the team now and Wainwright was brought on to bowl before Rashid yesterday. Gale has used Rashid very sparingly this season and I wonder if that's affecting his confidence?

Bairstow is probably the most likey to play for England, either as a batsman or a bat that can keep wicket.

Edit: Gary Ballance has come on well this year as well. Averages in the mid 40s and only 21. Not sure where he sees his international career though, given that he has played for Zimbabwe U-19s.

bresnan is a real class all-rounder, commentators said in the last test, why is bresnan batting ahead of broad?

i personally think bresnan is a better batsman than broad

Bresnan is a 'proper' batsman as Bumble likes to say. Broad's batting ability is slightly over-egged. He's a very good to decent number 8/9 with a lovely looking cover drive which usually makes commentators dribble over their mics.
