Rey Mysterios rematch clause

Apparently sometimes the guy who has just lost the strap doesn't get a rematch. Sometimes he could have his rematch at a later date.

Mysterio never mentioned it on raw?

If he was to have rematch it would have to be against cena right? Because that is what a rematch is.

When was the last time somebody never got a rematch for the wwe title?

He has said he will have his re-match at a later date. Why is that such a problem? Keeps him out of the title picture where he is clearly not needed but keeps people like you happy who for some reason obsess about this re-match clause which I've never thought of as a big deal.

Why can't you admit the booking doesn't make sense?

So you think the booking would make more sense to interupt a hot feud between Punk and Cena for a re-match for Mysterio.

I can't say I've ever seen a huge emphasis ever been put on the re-match clause, only when it has been convinent for WWE to do so.

Sheamus and Taker never got their rematches after EC last year.

Taker went to fued with HBK, Sheamus went on to HHH.

Cena and Jericho won the belts, though Cena dropped it to Batista afterwards, and went to face Edge and Batista at WM26.

Simply put,why hasn't mysterio asked for a rematch?

Wwe seem to forget about it. You can't see faults can you?

Its been reported they could have big plans for Mysterio the night after Summerslam (it may be due to Raw being in his home town, I could be wrong tho) so he could invoke his rematch then.

But you know they always change plans on the days of the show.

Because it's irrelevant to what is happening in WWE at the moment, it'd be distracting to the main feud and isn't needed at all. That's why he hasn't asked for his re-match clause!

In kayfabe terms there is none, but that's because there is no reason to have it brought up, it makes sense not to distract from the main feud by having Mysterio talking about his re-match clause.

It's simply not important.

WWE could even use it later on, if they want Mysterio back in the title picture they can have Mysterio claim he never got his re-match, but for now it's irrelevant to the bigger picture so WWE, quite rightly, are brushing it under the carpet.

You've asked this question countless times and you keep getting given similar replies. Because its not real, Mysterio has no say in it, and its irrelevant to whats going on. We have Punk vs Cena for the Undisputed WWE title, the biggest WWE title match in years, and you want Mysterio to come out and ruin it by asking for his rematch?

Everyone and their dog can see that would be stupid booking but you see it as a major flaw.

I'd even go as far to say that IN CHARACTER Rey Mysterio would allow the Punk vs Cena match to go ahead first - because he's always been portrayed as an honourable character.

Ray will probably get his title re-match against Del Rio when RAW is in Mexico

surely he has no claim to a rematch after summerslam as it will be a different title he never lost the Undisputed WWE title, once HHH declared the match at summerslam i cant see how he had a claim to a rematch, the title he lost no longer exists.
