1. Jimmy Wilde
The Ghost With a Hammer in His hand is widely considered to be the greatest flyweight of all time, went more than 100 hundred fights although all of these were fought in Britain but beat fighters the calibre of Lynch, Symonds, Smith, Zulu Kid, Moore and Mason along the way while often outweighed by upto 10-14 pounds.

2. Ted 'Kid' Lewis
A british champion from Featherweight all the way up to Light heavyweight, his career his epitomised by his epic series of fights with fellow legendary Welterweight Jack Britton where they traded the title back and forth in often brutal wars over a four year period. Lost in two other tilts at world titles when massively outweighed at both middleweight and light heavyweight.

3. Lennox Lewis
Arguably the last great heavyweight and in beating Evander Holyfield proved himself to be the eras premier heavyweight, lost disapointingly in two massive shocks to Rahmann and McCall but beat everyone the division had to offer and signed off with a victory over Vitali Klitschko.

4. Freddie Welsh
Long time lightweight champion who fought the best his division had to offer, holds two official wins over fellow british great Jim Driscoll as well as a series of newspaper victories over world class fighters such as Leonard, Wolgast, Nelson and Dundee.

5. Ken Buchanan
Lightweight champion after beating Panamanian great Ismael Laguna, holds wins over men such as Hernandez, Ortiz, Velazquez and Watt, lost his title to the legendary Roberto Duran in controversial circumstances and lost in a bid to regain a portion of the title with a disapointing points loss to Guts Ishimatsu.

6. Jim Driscoll
The finest british fighter to never have the honour of winning a world title, almost completely shut out reigning champion Abb Attell in a fight where the title was not on the line, turned down a chance to fight for the title because of prior commitments to a local orphanage.

7. Jack 'Kid' Berg
One of the finest light welterweight champions of all time, lost his titles to Tony Canzoneri in one of the earliest catchweight title fights where he had to weigh within the lightweight limit, due to this stipulation was still recognised by the ring magazine as the lineal champion for the following year until losing recognition following his loss to Sammy Fuller.

8. Joe Calzaghe
Long serving unbeaten super middleweight champion, one of a select few who have at one stage held all four organisational titles as well as the ring magazines linear title, spent much of his career in Britain but shot to fame after dismantling the promising Jeff Lacy in a one sided masterclass, went on to unify the division against Mikkel Kessler before claiming the lineal light heavyweight championship against the legendary Bernard Hopkins.

9. Owen Moran
Former bantamweight world title holder who would go on to draw twice with Abb Attell for the featherweight title and would also lose to Ad Wolgast in his attempt to win the lightweight world title.

10. Benny Lynch
Tragic flyweight world champion who's career would end early because of alcohol addiction, even though his career was cut short still left a lasting impression as one the divisions finest ever fighters beating rivals Brown, Montana, Jurich and Kane.

11. Prince Naseem Hamed
12. John Conteh
12. Howard Winstone
